So i was feeling bored and ecided to build this mini backhoe to try build something that doesnt need PF's, and LA's to have fun with. I decided to use for wheels of same size and all wheel steering. All functions beside steering use worm gears, because they are very easy to impleent and versatile (not to mention they cant eb backdriven). In total the model uses 5 worm gears and the only function missing are the outriggers.

The rear arm folds in an uncoventional way, but hey it works!

Rear arm can also rotate

And the front arm has enough movement to dump.

Both arms can support the weight of the backhoe with no problem.

The rear arm can also dig very deep.

I will add isntructions in LDD as soon as they are done. Because its such a simple model which doesnt use rare specialised parts, it would make a nice staring model!

Very nice MOC indeed!!! I would love the instructions when you get them done. As a huge fan of backhoe loaders, this really could for sure be offered as a mini-model in the Technic lineup. You should design for TLG.

Really awesome indeed!

A few parts color exchange and probably some small modifications and it could be made a very cool small set for the LEGO Technic lineup.

I don't remember to see a backhoe this size in the portfolio.

Nice little backhoe :classic: Shame I don't have that small rear bucket, or I'd build it immediately

Thanks! You can find one in 8047, and its really cheap!

Simple and nice with a plenty of functions, that's how it should be with small Technic models.

Very compact and decent MOC, I wouldn't be surprised if anyone tells me it's an official set.

Respect!

Ah, great. I was already thinking of buying some of those small sets for the parts, and now I have another reason

Wow, I'm impressed you conjured this up in only 2 hours.

It looks as good as any technic set I've seen.

I can't open the link, it says I need special software? I'm not a computer literate really, just point and click. Is there another way I can get the instructions?

As promised here are instructions, which will answer all your questions. 8 tooth gears couldnt be inserted in their rightfull position.

Very nice work. I've seen backhoes where the front and rear wheels are the same size.
