LDD MOC: An electronic drumkit!

Hey music & drum fans, I've created one of my 1st Lego musical instruments, an electronic drumset!

It has a bass drum, 2 tomtoms, a floor tom, a snare drum & 2 cymbals!

It is based off a Simmons SDX which was used by poplular bands from the 1980s including Genesis, Midnight Star, Dire Straits, etc!

There is a control box on the right, which allows the drummer to adjust the pitch, tone, volume, reverb, etc.

I've also gave the drumpads different colours!

Excellent work! I like how the whole thing is constructed.

Perhaps have some round pads on the sides to give it a smoother look - I don't know if those parts are actually in LDD or not.

Electronic drumsets should have square pads. I think he did a perfect job on these. Great work! :classic:

The Simmons pads are hexagonal.

Oh. I didn't see where it said Simmons pads, so you are right.

But there are hexagonal pieces in Lego so you did the next best thing.

I could've used the clip on octaganal 'stop signs' but they ain't available in LDD yet, especially in LU mode...

Looks great! But all it needs is the brickforge guitar and the pop star mic! :sweet:

I think so, but I don't think that Brickforge would ever have an affiliation with TLG.

I meant if you were going to build it with real bricks those would be better. :classic:
