It's quite clear that we'll have mini-actuators! Yay!

Well that is cool, those mini actuators. I don't bother buying any Lego set to be honest, I only build MOC's. This mainly has to do with not being able to spend money on both I guess...

These actuators are pretty cool and will be in my parts collection in the end too...

BTW does this mean there's gone be a S or XS PF motor in the future too? That would be cool to reduce space consumption...

I think the small truck has different grey colored bed. Also the backhoe has now stickers on the front and rear arm. The winch handle on the mini crane truck is now on the other side.

Im not convinced; the moulding appears to have diagonal elements to the centre hole. It would look more like a Mini LA connector mount, like its larger cousins.

It's highly probably a new part. Think about it ... if it's what you're suggesting, then there's no way the 1 x 2 liftarms are fixed to the long liftarm, as the long liftarm only has round holes which would mean the end section can freely rotate.

Also, the visible underside suggests the liftarm goes through both red axles.

If you save the picture and then blow it up, you can easily tell that it is in fact a new part. And it looks like it will be a handy one at that.

Ah yes, the POOP (pieces of other pieces) trend. In my opinion, a part should only be created if it allows something to be done which cannot be done with assembled individual parts. This is why I like small, simple parts the best. The fun and creativity of LEGO comes from combining parts in interesting ways to achieve useful results. That's why I don't like most of the Racers R/C line. They are basically one big part with wheels on it. Where's the fun in that? Contrast that with set 853 in which the steering was built up out of 2x2 turntables, axles were used for steering arms, and the crankshaft was built up from gears. That's LEGO!
