Skinny Boy Posted August 25, 2010 One of the most inconspicuous ships in the galaxy, it is more often than not mistaken as a moonbase when landed. This assumption is backed up by the lack of engines. Instead it uses an anti-gravity device, which pumps pure gravity around the ship. The odd "floating away" take-off resulting from the gravity confuses most who see it, who become convinced they just watched their dreams drift off. The ship is crewed by four people, one droid, and a cat to help with maintenance. The cargo ranges from live bounties to spare parts for pinball machines, and everything in between. Because the ship does not depend on fuel, it can take on a much longer journey than most others. It has never been boarded or even shot by another ship due to its manoeuvrability. Aswell as the fact that the gravity can be used as a weapon, causing other ships to seriously miscalculate their trajectory. My entry for the Space Pirates contest on Flickr. Superkalle Posted August 25, 2010 Very clean, very sharp, very good. I really like these kind of surprises - something unexpected. The tubular glass in the bridge is just awesome. JimBee Posted August 25, 2010 Wow, very nice. It's boxy, but it's a nice change from the usual ultra-sleek spaceships I see in Lego form. Not to say that it isn't very smooth looking. Would you care to share how you made those little bumps on the top of the middle and rear sections? I'd be interested to see how you made them so smooth. Love that bridge, and particularly how you gave it a sort of "offset" look from the top with those black 2x2s and other tiles. Good luck in the contest! XimenaPaulina Posted August 28, 2010 If 'uniqueness' is the main criterion in in the contest, this will definitely be the runaway winner. I have never seen any spaceship designed this way, and I kinda like this rather unorthodox and unique design. This is one of those cases were blockiness is a actually a great thing.
