simonjedi Posted November 13, 2010 So is no one going to review the set? If people don't mind waiting till I get paid in a week or so I'll try to get a review up.
Anio Posted November 13, 2010 I ordered mine in November, 26th. I still haven't received it.
Brickus Posted November 13, 2010 I ordered mine in November, 26th. I still haven't received it. Same, I ordered mine on the 25th, although they did not ship it till the 1st. I'll probably receive it next week.

Brickus Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Wha- ????? It's still November 13. I meant October of course, and I'm pretty sure that is what Anio meant. Edited November 13, 2010 by Brickus
Anio Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Oops, yeah, sorry for the mistake. Well. Anyway, I get my copy this morning. I built it in about 2 hours. My opinion : I REALLY enjoyed building this set. Much better than any other UCS. It has many colored parts and we do not spent time searching the parts in the box (even if we do not use the number of the bag ; that's my case : I put all the parts in the box). Eventually, the model is much bigger than what I expected. So, I'm very happy with this model. Edited November 13, 2010 by Anio
Brickdoctor Posted November 13, 2010 I meant October of course, and I'm pretty sure that is what Anio meant. That's what I initially thought, but the spelling differences of October and November are so different that I thought you might know something I didn't. NFreak007 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) I really like the look of this set! It's just a shame I don't have £95 to spare at the moment, but I'll get it eventually! I am interested that everyone seems to say that it's bigger than they expected. If it isn't too much trouble could someone do a side-by-side photo ot the UCS Jedia Starfighter and the 7143 Jedi Starfighter? I already have that one and I want to see how much bigger it is. Thanks! Skafte Posted November 13, 2010 Just finished building mine. Great set, pricey but great. A minor gripe is that on the official pics the ship looks tilted, and I was curious to see how that was built. It wasn't. The pic is photoshopped. The ship is vey horizontal. But it can spin round and round and round...

But it can spin round and round and round... Nothing new. It's like in the Temple of Doom set where Short Round is 'shopped into the mine cart, 'cause in reality you can only fit two minifigs per cart.

NFreak007 Posted November 14, 2010 Wow, that is bigger than I expected! Very impressive! Thank you, gratefulnat!
Brickdoctor Posted November 14, 2010 I have the '02 JSF, and I have to say the UCS is actually smaller than I expected. I don't have the Eta-2 sets and was estimating by the size of that cockpit, so I guess that's where I went wrong.
cavegod Posted November 14, 2010 as far as i can tell it is 3 studs longer than mine, will know better when i have them side by side.
Brickus Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) Received mine today, and I must say I really enjoyed building it. It is a great looking set and looks good next to my other UCS sets. Edited November 22, 2010 by Brickus
Mr Man Posted November 22, 2010 Could someone do a review of this set please, A build review. I have the previous version and might get this if my budget stretches.

brickbuilder Posted November 27, 2010 I havn't got the time for a review, but I will tell you it's an awesome set, and when you build it, it really feels like a $100 set. (although I got it for $130 in Canada )
Ritz Brick Posted November 27, 2010 So I saw this built in the Lego Store for $130 and just shook my head. The Lego Store guy said they've sold 4 since they got them in November
kamigawa Posted November 27, 2010 Lol, that's so funny, exactly what I had anticipated some pages ago Let's hope TLC realises that consumers are not a bunch of wild, imbecile baboons, and this set is just horrendously overpriced.
Anio Posted November 27, 2010 this set is just horrendously overpriced. I do not understand those who say that the 10215 is overpriced. The price per part ratio is much more attractive on this set than on many other star wars models.
kamigawa Posted November 27, 2010 I will now link the complete parts/price ratio for the UCS sets. THE BEGINNING, or THE UNSTABLE YEARS 7181 Tie Interceptor 703/100$ 7,03 7191 X-Wing 1300/150 8,66 10018 Darth Maul 1860/150 12,4 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner 1750/200 8,75 7194 Yoda 1075/100 10,75 THE ABSURD 10026 Naboo Starfighter 187/40 4,675 (I seriously hope they didn't justify its price with the "oooh, look at the Shiny" trick.) Anio Posted November 27, 2010 What a clever message ! First fail : you don't even know how to calculate a price per part. Price per part = price / part Second fail : many of your prices are wrong (the 10030 for example) Third fail : you do not compare the 10215 with the current models (I really don't care about the 10 year old models for such a comparison !). So, the PPP of the 10215 : 100/676 = 0,1479 And here are some models which are currently for sale on s@h : 10198 : 170/1408 = 0,1207 6212 : 62/437 = 0,1488 7754 : 110/789 = 0,1394 8038 : 119/890 = 13,37 8087 : 53/304 = 0,1743 8097 : 95/573 = 0,1658 8129 : 100/815 = 0,1227 7752 : 62/385 = 0,1610 8036 : 40/259 = 0,1544 8095 : 55/454 = 0,1211 8098 : 150/1141 = 0,1315 8088 : 75/396 = 0,1894 (@%§#&§!) 8019 : 75/ 636 = 0,1179 (and just for fun, the absolute record of TLG : 8091 : 37/176 = 0,2102) As you can see, the PPP of the 10215 is not really higher than the PPP of the other current models.
