And/or the Technic team needs to be convinced to produce more non-machinery sets, even if only as B-models.

The dino is amazing. AMAZING. You outdid yourself again :) Bravo @grohl!

PS. if it is not a secret, are you designing something new for Lego? I.e. new technic set for 2023 lineup?

PPS. @Jim wildlife badge is needed, like @Jurss sugested :)

Well, that's indeed not a secret: he is an official Technic designer at LEGO. The difference is that he still does these side-projects as a MOCer AFOL.

I phrase my question incorrectly - see where I made mistake :D I wanted to know if he is designing something right now. What was the latest model designed by him after Land Rover?

Amongst the sets already released, the latest is the pullback Mustang. As for designing a set right now, I don't doubt it... but we're not allowed to know any details.

Regarding Grohl's creations there is an interesting thing going on if anyone visits this Brickset page

For example, the Flexari's prototype was designed by Grohl as noted:

Created only the first prototype of this car.

Then, for 2022 polybag lil fella there is this note too:

Built the first concept prototype for this model.

Looks like Grohl lends his helping hands towards other popular models

Edit: this page was not as informative as this is right now few maybe couple a months ago. It's really good to see such contribution anyways. For example, the 42129 Zetros's trivia section.

That is a very cool creation. To be honest, I think you will be getting "this one is better than the A-model" a lot

Dammit, Reindl, stop making me want every set in existence!

Seriously though, this build blows me away! It's better than the A-model (yup, Jim's prophecy has been fulfilled)!

That’s a pretty cool looking truck, I like the parts usage especially on the cab. The steering solution at the front axle is interestingly simple, the way it pushes up the whole steering shaft! :)

Thank you for all the positive feedback on the truck.

May the Fourth be with you. Another Star Wars inspired alternate build of the 42117 Race plane is here.

The IMPERIAL SHUTTLE is my 26th alternate build of the 42117 LEGO Technic Race Plane I designed. The Shuttle features synchronised folding wing movement. You can build a display stand similar to the one shown in the video.

Mosquito Plane is my 22nd alternate model of the 42117 Race Plane and features synchronized rotation on both the propellers. Rolls well and is very swooshable.
