Weird problem with LDD?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I recently downloaded LDD on my Dell Inspiron laptop.

I have all the needed stuff and agreed to the terms and conditions.

Then I started LDD (I still have it open) on the loading screen the screen kept on flashing black, then on the screen where you choose what mode you want to build with, it keeps on loading LDD over and over again even though it is already loaded.

I uninstalled LDD and then reinstalled in again but I'm still getting the same problem.

Oh and LDD won't let me close it down as the little X for closing the window is faded.

Anyone know whats going on?

And if it helps I'm using windows 7

Your computer specifictions? Also did you install LDD for all users, as admin?

I am the only user on my lap top so yes I am the Admin but what do you mean by specifications?

Like RAM, video card, etc...

Most of the time it's video driver problems, but not sure about this case.

I'll add on to Prateeks list:

- Dell Inspiron yes, what what Model name and year of manufacture?

- Graphics card chip manufacturer, driver version and when did you last update the drivers?

- LDD Version you're trying to install.

- Windows 7 yes, but what version (32 bit, home, professional?)

And if you could be more specific about the problem: what do you mean "LDD keeps on loading over and over again"?

I had a similar sounding problem, running Win 7 ultimate on a scratch built machine.

Is it as if the visual picture is refreshing every couple of seconds and you have to open Windows manager to close LDD as it is non responding?

I found that when I updated my drivers and such the problem was resolved and LDD works fine now.
