A quick question

I think a number of those would make for a nice hull to a smallish, sleek ship. What do you mean by a "double-hull?"

I was think of having two of those in a row so that it almost has two hulls.

So basically making the ship a little taller with those layered? I think it could work, check out the ship from Imperial Trading Post. It was a small merchant vessel but used that piece (I think?) to make a sleek, small ship. I think it came out well. It would be tough though making a large one with those...

If you're talking about putting them side by side, it would be alot tougher because the shape of the piece makes a major gap inbetween the two pieces and makes it look a little rough IMHO. It is worth a shot with the right pieces almost anything is possible. Hope this helped.

If you were have a double-hull I would suggest the piece Capt. Dan was referencing, it's just like that but only six wide. IMO a double hull would not look good, at least not for a sailing ship, especially with the twelve wide. That is just my opinion. Possibly a tri-hull, with the twelve in the center and a six on either side, would look better, it would be the same width as your original idea. Good luck with whatever decision you choose.

I think that it could be work, but beware, many of this pieces together could be the sensation of the hull from a modern ship (rigid ships, not rounded). :pir-sceptic:

in the imperial trading post (6277) they use only two (similar) pieces, and even there, I feel the sensation of an blocky and squared ship, but nice after all

and by the way, if you use that color, prepare to find something like a PT boat from the WWII :pir-tongue:

good luck and if built it, please show it!!!
