I wonder...could we possibly be getting this guy?

21b-medical-droid.jpg

And before you say "But he was only in ESB!", yes, he did work on Anakin, alongside the multi-armed droid.

He was also in the Clone Wars series 1, episode 8 or 9. He's on the twighlight when anakin rescues plo koon and a few clones.

By 'Senate troopers', I don't know if you mean Senate commandos or Imperial Royal Guards, but I assume it'll have one or two of the latter, as he was seen with them a lot in ROTS. We may have these and/or shock troopers, but we don't know yet.

Don't forget the Senate guards.

No, but I doubt either of those would be in the set. Maybe an Imperial pilot, like the ones from the previous Imperial Shuttle sets, will be in this.

I meant the Troopers which are at the senate-rotunda after Palpat's and Yoda's fight.

They were on Mustafar with Sidious, and seen also on Coruscant as escort to the medical-centre.

I'm not sure I follow your logic there.

Why does there have to be a bacta tank?

We'd know about it because it would be obvious to see in a display or catalogue, you mean?

... and if we'd get a bacta tank, it wouldn't make much sense. Grievous would probably short circuit in one of those.

And remember, the rumor is that it is a tan droid, and it would be pretty strange getting a med droid in tan. So, if anything, it'll be A4-D.

How can you be so sure? It could have pull-back motor, or it could be a transformer.

Or maybe TLG has been reading this thread and have made a last-minute decision to include the Garindan after all.

Nah, just kidding. I agree of course.

Your opinion isn't very logically for me.

Or have you ever seen a bacta tank at ROTS?!

Otherwise, the LEGO Company's thoughts aren't always logically.

Let's hope the shuttle will be issued with a NEW "Burned Vader" with half-legs, the Emperor and some Coruscant Security Clone-Troopers.

Oh... whoops. Sorry, I thought we were talking about Wampa Attack!

@Big Brick: Those are called Shock Troopers.

I thought they only were at Coruscant to care for the security at the senate and the official platforms?!

They do, but they went with Palpatine to Mustafar aswell, since they were the first clones to hand.

They also act as escorts for Senators etc.

I think the Royal Guards will be in the Shuttle, mainly because of their appearance on Coruscant before the duel between Master Yoda and Darth Sidious. Another thing I saw them in was my Star Wars - Ultimate Cross Sections book.

(excuse the humongous picture )

So there is a strong chance there may also be a Med Droid like the Transformation set back in 2005, and maybe even a new Pilot mould. Knowing LEGO, they may just chuck in a TIE Pilot instead.

EDIT: Here is a link if the picture doesn't show: Clicky!

I know, but those are far less-likely too be in the set, so I didn't bother naming them. :classic:

I had a feeling you were.

Don't forget that the shuttle design may be very similar to that of the 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle. The two vehicles have a similar design and, with the introduction of as many features as the designers can in a set, there will probably be not much space inside. Maybe an office for Palpatine, or something else but I don't expect much from it. The minifigs included will probably be the minimum : Palpatine (Death star version), an imperial pilot (flesh) and one trooper or two. The shuttle may appear in the second season of TCW and, therefore, not be a ROTS version.

And it is sure that it will include flick-missiles, maybe even a bomb-dropping feature, with an opening system, etc.

Well, I cannot say much more on it until the pics pop up.

I am most looking forward to the OT sets *Cough*Slave I*Cough*

I want that palpatines shuttle set so bad, I hope I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

That diagram only makes me more excited, I'd bet we see a medical droid like linked a few posts above.

Months ago Sir Nadorj did the Theta class shuttle minifigure sized. I don't know if he posted it here but here's a link to it. I figured it was worth posting to show what the set might look like.

Okay I have a question and I'm sure it's already been brought up but I looked through the past 5 pages and there was no mention of it. I think you can agree that looking through 136 pages is completely absurd.

Anyway, I was just looking at the front page at the January 2010 sets and I saw the prices. I know I've looked at those pictures and prices on the front page and they were not that high. I mean the Arc-170 for $80.00 USD, that's insane! That's the around 500 pieces for $80, I can't get over that because that's just disgusting. A price surge like that is insane. Is there a reason for the price jump, because I was excited for some of these sets (more specifically the summer 2010 sets, best wave yet as far as I'm concerned, if the rumors are true) and if the Clone turbo tank is going to be 1000 pieces and $200, it's just not worth it. So what's the reason for the high prices? Are they just overpriced estimates or am I missing something?

Is Palpatine's shuttle going to be CW or ROTS ?

The are two ways to look at this, one it could be Clone Wars, since most of the Star Wars sets in the last 12 months have been Clone Wars based. The other is that the Droid Tri-fighter and ARC-170 appear to be from ROTS.

Any ideas ?

Those prices aren't even close to what the actual prices are going to be - first off, the ARC-170 is going to be $60 or less.

KimT just made those estimates on the first page based on the estimated Euro price (right now they need an update).

I can confirm that there will be a burnt Darth Vader figure (unless he belongs in wampa attack or the clone turbo tank), and there will also be a medical droid thats picture has surfaced in this thread.

Okay granted but there was'nt any rocket droids in ROTS so explain to me that. Lego can be random with their minifigures but they would'nt put clone wars minifigures in ROTS and vice versa.

That's 400 pieces, not 500. Now don't you want to bang your head against a wall? I think we shouldn't price rant, but I bet there is a mistake...

Well, neither have been in CW, but I don't think that the Droid fighter is ROTS, for that reason. It would make sense, but there were no rocket droids.

However, I have a pretty good feeling about the ARC. Also I apologize for what I said before...

Okay, thank you both for clarifying. I was a little shocked at what I had seen, so thank you for bringing me down to earth a bit! I wasn't sure if TLC had announced some price surge or what was going on, but I'm very glad it was just a mistake. :classic:

Thanks for confirming about the med droid!! I was hoping that it would be in atleast one of the sets and I was right! Take that Legolas! I mean...eh Your not the only one who has been right!

The prices are estimates made from amazon.com and other sites.

Right now we only have USD prices and the estimates varies.

The Freeco is estimated from 24.99 - 34.99 USD (or something like that).

I am fairly sure the price will be around 25 USD though, but one can never be sure with the financial situation and all.

I have been reading Wookieepedia and discovered that AT-AT was developed and used during the Clone Wars. Wasn't there a post somewhere a while back talking about a AT-AT comming next year ?

If there is then we could say it might be CW instead of ESB. :vader:

It was deigned by Rothana, I believe as a successor of the AT-TE. It didn't make it into full service until the end of the Clone Wars. Possibly the fact that clones may idealize gunnery turrets on top of their vehicles to strenghen their battle plans may be the reason that the AT-AT was not employed earlier. Or the idea that the AT-AT cannot turn around quickly, whilst the AT-TE can use rear-mounted guns or the big-bore cannon to destroy any flanking enemies.

And yes, I beat ADHO to the explaining part. The rumour has it that it will be this year, I believe. Good explanation anyway, lightningtiger.

I wonder...could we possibly be getting this guy?

The Rebels use a lot of old equipment, and that med-droid is no exception. He is very old, dating back to the Clone Wars. He was seen in the Clone Wars 2008 movie and maybe a couple of the episodes too, but I'm not sure about the TV side of it.
