just2good Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) I've noticed that TLG is missing Toy Story characters! I know many of them are unable to be made do to license issues, but many of the none licensed characters. I'll make a list of some: Non-Licensed: -Rocky -Bo Peep -Lenny -Wheezy -"Baby face" -Blue Robot (TS3) -Sparks -Chuckles -Big Baby -Book Worm -Trixie -Buttercup -Mr. Pricklepants -Peas in a Pod License: -Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head -Slinky Dog! (how could I have forgot!) -Barbie and Ken -Etch -Chatter Telephone Now Eurobricks members, it's up to you guys to make the missing characters! (just list the pieces) -- I think it's possible to make Lenny out of a blue binocular piece with a 2x1 orange tile jumper and then with 2 studs under it. Oky Posted June 6, 2010 Unoriginal indeed. But that doesn't mean it's not a good topic! Unlike other topics of this kind, this is not just wishful thinking since many of the characters can be brick-built, so this is kind of an inspiration thread for MOCing. Your list is a good start... BUT WHAT ABOUT SLINKY DOG? He should probably be under licensed characters, but still, he's one of the most important! There are many techniques to build a dog. Simply pick one, and build it in brown with separate halfs and connect them with a spring or a bunch of stacked grey/chrome 2x2 radar dishes. Other characters from the first toy story would be the barrel'o'monkeys (painted red monkey minifigs?), the blue robot, Etch-A-Sketch, and all of Sid's mutant toys. Then there's Wheezy from TS2. You can just use one of the penguins from the Batcave set. Also, in TS3, there are: Dolly (plates at a 90 degree angle, kinda like a mosaic) Mr. Prickelpants (green short legs, tan torso with custom decal, tan head with custom decal, Forestman hat, and some sort of spiky brown back attachment) Buttercup (a white horse with the new unicorn horn attachment?) Trixie (a blue version of 7604) Chatter Telephone (a red telephone, white slope, and some wheels) Peas-In-A-Pod (green zamor spheres?) I don't really like your idea for Lenny. It sounds like his head would be much too small, and I don't think blue binoculars even exist. I would instead use a 1x2 Technic brick. Stick the jumper plate's stud into the Technic hole and add studs to the top and bottom of the brick for the eyes/look-holes. That would look a bit boxy but at least it would be at an accurate scale. I'm trying to find a way to make Bo Peep, but I simply can't figure out how to do her head. Any ideas?
Lordofdragonss Posted June 6, 2010 I realy care just about Slinky and Mr/Miss Potatohead. But I want a BabyHead-crab from first movie too...
badboytje88 Posted June 6, 2010 Great topic! I would love to see more toy story minifigs! I made a Bo Peep a while ago.
Oky Posted June 6, 2010 That's pretty good, badboytie! Except the lower body seems a bit big, plus it's not fleshie. What are the parts you used for the hat and neck-thingy?

-Tilius- Posted June 6, 2010 I think Chuckles is a little too spoilery for us to have in any sets yet. Also, we need Mr Pricklepants, Buttercup and Trixie.
XimenaPaulina Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) Yeah, it's bad we can't get all of the Toy Story characters, but it's understandable for TLG not to do the other 'minor' ones. AFAIK, the only major characters are the ones appearing in the poster. TLG already gave us 7 out of the 11 major characters (checked green), which ain't bad at all. So Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, and Barbie are the only ones we're missing. Of course it would be great to have 'em all, but it would be asking too much from TLG to 'make a move' for these 'licensed characters'. Xenophilius Studz Posted June 19, 2010 Does anyone have any ideas on how to build Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head? I'm on a quest to get/build all of Andy's toys from Toy Story 3, plus some others, like Lenny and Bo Peep.
CMP Posted June 19, 2010 LDD rough draft of Babyface.
dabulls03 Posted June 20, 2010 LDD rough draft of Babyface. That's a good start, but isn't babyface a lot bigger? I think you should try it in a larger scale, with a bunch of technic pieces for the arms/legs. I'm not really sure where to start with the head though...
