One more, and I'm out of stuff I've already built.

LDD File

Errors:

- Prints missing (except classic face!), substitutions made on figure and controls, all others left blank.

- 4730 Modified Brick 2x2 with Pin and No Axle Hole unavailable, substituted 6232 Modified Brick 2x2 with Pin and Axle Hole.

- 4864a Panel 1x2x2 with Solid Studs unavailable, substituted with 4864b Panel 1x2x2 with Hollow Studs.

- I'm sure the hose is wrong, but Peeron and Bricklink's numbers aren't matching up with what's listed on LDD's info bar, so I don't know for sure.

- The biggest error is that part 2337 Windscreen 4x4x2 Canopy Extender is unavailable, it is replaced here with an inelegant brick-built mock-up that doesn't connect to the front windscreen.

The Classic Space hoses are correct. And nice work on the canopy extender, I came up with something a bit different: LXF File. I've already included it in the wanted parts post.

8971 Aerial Defense Unit - Theme: Agents 2.0

Errors:

-Pair of 1x4 plates with 2 1x2 grills wouldn't fit on the sides because of a boundary error with the 4x6 plate above it. These are hovering near where they are supposed to be placed.Fixed by zinfinion!

-Rear upper x224 Dark Blue Windscreen 8x6x2 Curved can't be placed correctly due to a boundary error with the pair of 61678 Curved Slopes 4x1 underneath it. The part is placed 1 stud behind where it is supposed to sit.

- Strings and rubber band can't be connected, so they are laying near where they go, and place the backpacks on Charge and Chase.

-Possibly the most frustrating error, the doors won't close. There appears to be a boundary error with the 3749 Technic Axle Pins beneath them. After the headache of getting the rotor assembly to line up, I opted to just leave the doors open.

In addition to previous discussions:

1) Pair of plates on sides

This is an error due to the holes of technic bricks not being placed in system. A classic issue (read more here). It's not because of an error in LDD - it's an illegal build technique. But can be worked around in LDD liked discussed by zinfinion.

2) Dark blue windscree - Collision error bug in LDD.

3) Doors won't close.

This seems to be a problem with the way the model was built in conjunction with how LDD handles rotation axis.

If you put an extra plate (pink in the attached file) to add multiple stud connections on each side, it will allow you to rotate the around the first axis.

To rotate around the other axis, you need to click on the pin itself (marked green in the file) in order to select the correct rotation axis.

There is still a collision error with the green pin though, which won't allow you to close the doors fully. This is because the technic hole positioning (same as error 1 above).

Plenty of errors in this one...

The issue isn't the inability to rotate the parts (easily solved through your method or pulling the bottom pin out and rotating the bottom beam in first), but the 3M Pin with Cross colliding at the top. At least as I understand it.

Edit: Haha, what is going on here? Superkalle, did you delete your post? If so, please delete this one as well.

7291 Street Rebel [Version III] - Theme: Creator -

Errors:

- Replaced 32316 Technic 5M Beam with 2x 32017 Technic 5M Half Beam due to 32316 Technic 5M Beam not snapping to the middle of 32054 2M Friction Snap w/ Cross Hole.

This is because of illegal build from TLG. The 32054 will be "pushed half way through" the 32316, and hence will put it in constant compression. If you examine a physical 32054 closely you will see it has ridges that are supposed to snap fully in, and they don't in this case.

Conclusion: LDD is correct. Bad build by TLG.

Luckily I just got the 9391 Mini Crane yesterday and it has a couple of the 32054 pins. I definitely can see the ridge in the middle of the long side, as well as feel it click back out to being uncompressed when a full width beam is fully positioned to either side. I tried it as well with 4 half width beams and that prevents the compression. So I guess my fix of 2 half beams in the fork was the right thing to do.

Messing around with your file, Superkalle, I can almost get the door closed, and then copy/paste it that way to other appropriate spots. I think I'll leave it alone, though. Think of it as, uh, showing off the interior? Even though you can't actually see most of it in the picture. Yeah.

Hi zfinion!

Every time I look at your excellent LDD-works I ask myself: How did he do that?

Do you us e a special final rendering, or what? Is it included to LDD?

(Hopefully you haven't answered this question before).

My models look so different from yours - and yours so much better!

Don't let me die unknowing. :classic:

I'll set my phaser to stun, instead.

What I've done is set my video card to be able to display at 3040x1900, which is a bit complicated and fraught with peril. If you have an Nvidia card and wish to be brave, try these instructions. If you are not ready to turn your computer into a smoulder slag pile, or you are using AMD or Intel graphics, you can:

-Right click desktop

-Screen resolution

-Advanced settings

-List all modes

-Look for 2560 x 1600, True Color (32 Bit) or the largest listed that is True Color (32 Bit)

-Select it and click OK

-Click apply

-If your screen switches resolution, click Yes (If your screen goes blank or weird, don't panic, wait 15 seconds, and it should go back to the original resolution)

That's for Windows 7, but Vista or XP should be somewhat similar.

Once you have your maximum resolution set, go to view mode in LDD, hit 5 on the numpad, scroll wheel back one click, then take the screenshot from the menu. Open this in your photo editor of choice and resize to 512px or whatever you prefer. Make sure to use bicubic or bicubic smoother to get the smoothest results. I use Photoshop, but the GIMP or PixBuilder Studio work just as well.

Additionally, before I resize, I stack 4 copies of the screenshot on top of each other then merge the layers, this makes the transparent elements much more vivid.

That's pretty much it. Thanks for noticing the effort I put into my shots.

Oh, and buyer beware, I can't be held liable for any damages mental or physical, etc ad infinitum and so forth...

21012 Sydney Opera House

I guess I don't have to post mine now! Good work, and it's a really neat build. The angled sections were rather fun to get lined up. It's also surprisingly not as hideous looking as the official photos make it out to be.

... and I assume you also have Advanced shading set to max?

Anyway, I have to agree with Holodoc, the screenshots look really good!

10224 - Town Hall - Theme: Modular Buildings - version 2

[bricklink] [brickset]

10224.lxf

- Fit the rooftop windows with the Lamellas 4218/4219. I modified a little the angle of the Lamellas and put them over the roof.

Good work EM4CZ. Do you think you could try to make the lamellas "symmetrical" on both sides. As it is now, there is a quite an angle on the black one, and on the other side it's vertical on the other side. The result is that the knobs on the lamellas touch into the 6183 Arch, and if TLG ever decides to upgrade the collission volumes on that brick, the lamellas will be removed when opening the file. I don't know if this is easy to do, but maybe you can give it a try.

Also, I edit your post to remove the indexing style heading and just make it an update to Sjuips post.

EDIT: Just saw that vean did something too. Checking that out now...

EDIT2: Vean, your folder is not public yet. Can you deeplink?

@Sjuip

I completely removed your duplicate post.

@EM4CZ

I can't find references for the "version 2" you posted. Could you provide one?

Another little thing: your image represents a detail of the building, could you replace it with an image showing the whole set? The image is for preview purpose. :classic:

EDIT: I see now the SuperKalle intervention. I misunderstood, your insertion was a fix of Sjuip work.

I've removed the image too, as the post is not a new entry to be indexed.

@vean

Which entry your post is referred to?

The link you provide points to your gallery, but as brickshelf is moderated, it could be unaccessible for days. If you want to share your fix you should deeplink the lxf file.

Excellent work on the Townhall Sjuip - some comments/questions below

- Technic 1x2 With 2 Holes (32000) does not (in LDD) 'lean on' Plate 1x2 with Stub (30383) (in support of sloped roof above main entrance).

That is a bit strange - does it mean that it leans "on-top" of the stub in the real model? I mean, otherwise LDD is normally quite accurate. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has the set (or feel like replicating that section of the model). If it leans on the stub like it does in the LDD model, that is not very good design from TLG.

- In sloped roofs above main entrance, White Plate 1x10 replaced by Plate 1x2 and Plate 1x6 to avoid collision.

Also a bit strange. I guess it depends also on the angle of the roof, which in turn is dependent on the issue above. If the angle is correct, this seems like an illegal build from TLG.

- White Tile 1x2 does not fit in 1891 logo. Placed seperately. ('Pet Shop problem')

Yeah, annoying LDD issue that you can't fine tune position better.
