Hi! Image is a little too big: you should resize it in order to don't exceed 512x512 limit.

And finally, we finish with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix:

5378 Hogwarts Castle (3rd Edition) (Duplicate Set)

LXF File

Missing part bel004

Replaced part 40250cx2 with brick-built solution and x67 with x219

Replaced Bright Pink with Light Purple, Metallic Gold with Pearl Gold and Speckle Black-Silver with Titanium Metallic

Incorrect/missing prints and stickers

:sweet:

You can see the updated 2010 sets here.

Bright Pink should indeed be Light Purple. Dark pink parts, however, should be changed to Bright Purple. Medium Reddish Violet was discontinued in 2004, even if Bricklink doesn't seem to realize it. Bright Purple is its replacement.

It should be noted that the plate piece 6256 should actually be color 299 Lacquered Gold, which does not work on LDD. Warm Gold (the color you used) is a perfectly fine replacement color, and resembles the color used for it in the instruction booklet. I tend to use Sand Yellow Metallic since it's a closer match to the actual color of the piece, but really replacement colors are almost entirely a matter of preference so there's no one replacement color you should or shouldn't use.

You should also probably note that the lightning bolt piece 59233 should be blended two colors (transparent light blue and transparent bright bluish violet), and that this is not possible on LDD.

Everything else seems flawless. Great work!

Hello everyone.

Since finishing the LEGO Star Wars System-Scale sets, I decided to give another theme a go.

It is currently Harry Potter month here on Eurobricks, so to celebrate, here's the entire LEGO Harry Potter theme on Lego Digital Designer 4.0!

Great work!

Where do you get all the time to make that?

I used this model for strip #201. So much was modded that I linked it back here to give marco9999 the build credit.

Nor Peeron. The chart I use, lists Dark Pink as being Medium Reddish Violet, so that's what I've used in all sets.

It should be noted that the plate piece 6256 should actually be color 299 Lacquered Gold, which does not work on LDD. Warm Gold (the color you used) is a perfectly fine replacement color, and resembles the color used for it in the instruction booklet. Remember that 'plate' has a different meaning in LEGO.

Peeron doesn't have an alternative to Metallic Gold so I see I've used Pearl Gold there instead. I know I used Reddish Gold as a replacement in a different set. I'll try to at least stick to the same replacement in future.

I used Sand Yellow Metallic for both Chrome Gold and Chrome Antique Brass. I don't think I should use it in place of anymore colours!

You should also probably note that the lightning bolt piece 59233 should be blended two colors (transparent light blue and transparent bright bluish violet), and that this is not possible on LDD.

Alright, but seeing as it's not possible in LDD, and BL lists it as a trans-light blue part, I just stuck with that.

Everything else seems flawless. Great work!

Thank you very much! :sweet:

I took great care not to give you too much work!

Great work!

Thanks a lot.

I don't have to spend much time in uni and I finished for Christmas two weeks ago, so I've had plenty of time to work on them! :sweet:

I knew The Durmstrang Ship would be the incomplete one. Is the hull even available in LDD? If not, I don't think it's fair to class it as incomplete.

Set name: Motorized Excavator

Set number: 8043

Theme: technic

Parts: 1123

So after building the real deal, here is its virtual borther. There are some bugs I had to work around:

The 8 tooth gear doesnt fit there:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/bug.png

Axle 4 with stud doesnt fit in its place:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/bug2.png

And the panel had some problems fitting, so I had to left out a black pin:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/bug3.png

The new gearbox connector didnt fit all the way through (already reported bug):

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/lddscreenshot34.png

And the axle 5,5 is too long, so the half bush was left out:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/lddscreenshot35.png

Besides the missing 5x7 and 5x11 frames and the showel (WHICH WAS IN LDD 3.0) the build when rather smooth and I managed to MESH ALL THE GEARS in the gearbox and align all the 8 universal joints  !

And yes the M motors were left out because of their corrupted nature.

Middle of the build:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/lddscreenshot37.png

Finished model:

lddscreenshot38.png

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/LDDparts/8043/lddscreenshot41.png

There may be a few pins missing, but all in all its 95% accurate!

DOWNLOAD THE LXF

NOW UPDATED TO LDD 4,1, Bucket is there and hoses bent.

@Zblj

The images!! :sing:

@ADHO15

Eheh, an incomplete set is not a shame!

To be complete, a set should appear "playable" and similar to the original one.

I classified incomplete every set that has an important lack not replaced with a custom solution.

For example I marked as incomplete sets without particular minifigs such as toy story ones.

I did some exception to this "rule" only when LDD4 was going to be released, because in brief many new parts would be available and the sets upgraded.

If you don't want to "mix" custom parts to official parts, you can separate that using groups.

@BrickWild

The link of the legobar in your signature is wrong: you have to delete the character after ".png" if you want it appears in your signature.

PS: Did you read my old private messages sent to you? If you want, I'm ever waiting for an answer!

1383 Curse of the Pharaoh - Theme: Studios

This is an LDD 4 model.

1383 Curse of the Pharaoh

Only a few substitutions in this one:

1) The spider shown as part 30328 by BL, was replaced with 30238. This is probably a BL typo.

2) The hinge plates 4276 and 2452 were replaced with 44301 and 60471.

3) The glow-in-the-dark skull inside the top of the monument is shown as white.

As usual, there are no printed pieces.

A-mazing work Zblj. This is defintely one of the hardest models to do. I'm surprised you managed to do so much in LDD afterall.

Regarding the shovel, are you sure it was in 3.0. I've got a brick-list of all parts in 3.1, and I can't find it there.
