lightningtiger Posted March 18, 2010 G'day tiger here again this time with something simple yet sometimes overlooked - what's a freight system without platforms to pick up and drop off parcels, etc.,. The only thing I'm not sure of is the platform height ? Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! !
vgsprites Posted March 18, 2010 I like how simple it is but effective your platform is. The height does look a little low but possibly a base plate could help. Gives me a an idea to what to do with my 8x8 plate with the grate in it too. Otherwise great job 'lightningtiger!'
lightningtiger Posted March 18, 2010 Thank you 'vgsprites' for that kind reply. Yeah the height is a problem - back to Google Images to find some Aussie freight platforms to compere height. I'm a conformist! !
WesternOutlaw Posted March 18, 2010 This would make a neat little set (Flatbed & Platform). Good industrial color with the little splash of red accessories - I like it. The little forklift works perfectly, and the white crate reminds me of the old 2x4 crate with doors from the Classic Space set Space Crusier. What set is that from LT? lightningtiger Posted March 18, 2010 Thanks 'The Brickster' for your comment and that white crate is from the 2005 fire truck which is still available I think. I have been trying to find any images of SAR and Australian National (now Pacific National) stuff - especially siding stuff - signals & buildings - not so easy as it sounds - trip back to the rail museum for me looks like it !
