Spring Time Photos

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

Recently, I have seen many signs of Spring. It is my favourite month, and I have taken photos and will share them here. My idea was you could take your own and upload them in this thread too! I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate the upcoming warm weather, sun, and lots of baby animals.

So, to start off...

My second favourite animal is the frog, and they are coming out in force to our pond! At night I occasionally hear the male's mating calls. :oh:

My chickens enjoying the warm sunshine:

Hope this thread sparks some enthusiasm, and has enough information and good will for the Staff not to close it and maybe instead add their own pictures.

We're still pretty much stuck in winter here...

It's warming up, which thankfully has melted the snow, but it's been overcast for over a week now. I just want to see some sun!

Spring started a few weeks back here. The southern cherry blossoms bloomed in mid-February.

@def: Those are two amazing pictures - the colours have come out beautifully. Did you photoshop them? (It's ok, all the best photographers do!)

Thanks, but no, those are just long exposures on a tripod, no need for touch ups

@ YG-49

Your photo REALLY made me smile! :sweet: Such a feelgood picture!

@def

Very beautiful photos! The colours are amazing and only by looking at those makes you feel calm. Cherry blossoms are indeed one of the most recogniseable Japan-related images.

_o_o Arigato.(Add the two missing letters. I' m just not good at japanese. )

Late Spring last year we rescued baby Collared Dove  :

Believe or not, one morning I went outside and found the poor thing perched on one of our broomsticks.

We made a bed out of a hanging basket and some straw.

Our tulips started coming up on the weekend :sweet: I can't wait for the other flowers too, except the rose bush. It's a pain in the hind quarters. :sadnew:

Okay, so flurries just started, and they are the size of my palm

I wish Spring would hurry up and get here, I had to walk 2 miles in 25 degree weather :cry_sad: (Fahrenheit) It was brutal as some of the areas I passed through were full of wind.

This was from a few weeks ago when spring first started, when the last of the snow was melting away...

I just came back from Italy. Apparently all of the snow had melted just days before we arrived!

While they don't necessarily scream Spring, I do think they give off the vibe I associate with Spring.

We have five clumps of frog spawn in our pond. The males are still calling at night, so I really hope we get some more! :sweet:

EDIT: Nice pictures all! I'll post some as soon as the sun comes out. :hmpf_bad:
