I just bought the instructions, they are sure worth the money! But, when you plan to build it, it contains a large amount of the infamous 298c05, light blueish gray base with light blueish gray lever. :cry_sad:

Just use the ref with a black lever...

It is the same thing. ;)

Can you highlight a few of the differences from the older version? Externally it looks very similar (changes to the dark red stripes on the 'wings' at rear, greebling?)

Is it just me or is there a gun missing in this picture? The side turbolaser.

Well seen. I thought none would notice that.

Well, is it not important, they are in the instruction.;)

I can't decide whether or not to pull the trigger on this. It comes down to two things. What are the chances of TLG making an official UCS set and do I have the time/patience/money to bricklink the parts. Are any others facing this dilemma?

can you send me details as setechnic were awkward and I couldn't read the parts list and it has to be adobe compatible at [snip]

Seriously ?

Don't you think our e-mails are enough ?

PS : of course you can not read the part file. It is not for you, it is for Bricklink....

Me and my family might try this beast. What size will it approx. be? And are there templates available in the instructions for printing the UCS-style display?

I can't see them making a UCS of this set, and certainly not with that many pieces. For me, it's worth it for the $$ to repay them for the incredible work put in. Hell, I spent more money on lunch today!.

I'll be sending my payment along soon, hopefully I'll get a change to build it!

I decided to buy the instuctions and start this project. I give myself 4-5 months to finish, will probably spend $100-$150 a month on pieces until I have them all. My reasoning in pulling the trigger. I don't think this will get an official UCS from TLG in the near futre, if at all. If they do one it will most likely not look as good as this one and not as detailed. No need to wait years on something that "might happen" when I can start now. The bricklinking will be a nightmare for me, I feel I just need to put a good amount of preparation into the planning and it should be ok. I have already made a spreadsheet in Excel to help me with this and inventoried the parts I already have. I would like to keep my orders to the minimum amounts of stores. I will most likely start with the high quantity items and work down to the lower quantity. Any advice from someone who has done this will be greatly appreciated.

Son of a...

The guy is selling the instruction on ebay.

Wow, people suck. Any way you can report him for theft?

I reported the item, for copyright etc.

But I doubt ebay will remove the item. :-(

I also contacted the seller thief.

You are welcome to spam him for him to remove the auction. :D

Reported also. What an a** any one of the people who bought the instructions, inuding me, could resale them. But it is a matter of respect and decency. Disgusting.
