Atgar 1.4 Laser Cannon MOC

Recommended Posts

gallery_101_23_281.gif

Been working on a Hoth Rebel Base, in the planning stages at the moment. The first part was to come up with an Atgar cannon that looked more like the movie version. So here are the results...

from the front...

From the back...

And finally, the cannon in action...

The reference pics were taken from Wookiepedia here

This is the second version, the first was essentially the same design, but with a different method of connecting the dish to the body of the cannon.

Comments and feedbeck appreciated.

I was a bit hesitant at first but after seeign the final pic of the laser in it's proper place it started to look much better.

It looks about the right size and everything. Great work!

Lovely design. I love the way you used two dishes.

Also the minifig stand is very good and the details at the front.

Good luck on the project, I can't wait to see it.

Hello!

Well researched! The size looks correct and those 1x2 grill slopes suit the tower really well. Also it features the needed 3-man crew. :classic:

Cheers,

Very nice MOC 'Heofthehothbrick' ! :yoda:

To scale - perfect and looks good with rebel troopers around it - looks like part of scene from ESB. :sweet::grin::laugh:

Nice cannon. Have you considered to change the tan part to maybe a dark grey? In my opinion it would look a bit nicer

I'll have to try that, but tan was the only colour I had at the time. I'll see if I have any and try it out. It would be a better colour for it.

Thanks again guys.

Thanks so much for the instructions heofthehothbrick :cry_happy:

I didn't realise it could turn.

I had ago last night building one, though the colours where alot different, (but a BL order will change that).

The size looked abit off compared to the turret in the Echo Base set, so...

I tryed using one of These, but These don't fit into the 8 X 8s, and there aren't any 8 X 8 webbed dishes.

So I guess I'll have to make do with your size. :classic:

Thanks again for the instructions!!
