Bought Olivia's House yesterday (store credit made it half price!) and the City Advent Calendar today. Seeing it in stores made me go a little "oh my god I MUST HAVE IT" since I knew the online shop was sold out. Not sure if I'll keep it, the husband thinks I'm spending too much on LEGO... Of course our daughter is only turning three in two weeks, it's hard to use her to justify the purchases.

I also bought two Sterilite containers to store my LEGO. Yes, they all fit in these. Yes, my husband still thinks I buy too much.

Today I bought the Batman Tumbler (76023) and got the winter Scene for free courtesy of Lego.com VIP promotion. Just need to wait for it to arrive now

Managed to pick this up using some VIP points. Also got the promotional winter skating set with it.

Looks like the Winter Village will be complete this Christmas after all. :)

I was holding off getting Santa's Workshop until Black Friday to get the second free holiday set. With the early VIP event, I got Santa's Workshop and the Ghostbusters set to take advantage of double points, a free set, and free shipping. Not too shabby for sets I would have gotten any way.

I did a "little" bit of shopping this weekend, catching up on a few things I've been meaning to pick up, including:

21109 Exosuit

75055 Imperial Star Destroyer

42009 Mobile Crane MKII

79017 Hobbit, Battle of the five armies

79018 Hobbit, The Lonely Mountain

42030 RC Volvo Front-loader

42028 Bulldozer

79016 Hobbit, Attack on Lake Town

70161 Tremor Track Infiltrator

70165 Ultra Agents Mission HQ

10220 VW T1 Camper van

Plus, I got a bunch of freebies (Black Friday holiday sets, turkey, reindeer, snowman, train ornament, etc) and (with double VIP points) I now have enough points to get a free UCS Tumbler (if they ever get them back in stock).

You know it's been a good day of Lego shopping when the store manager has one of the clerks help you load your car for you.

I was at Brick 2014 yesterday, and, amongst other things, I bought a brand new K-3PO minifigure for £9 and some Rocket Raccoon polys for £4.99 each. Words cannot explain how pleased I am with those purchases especially when the former costs double the price online and I thought the latter would never be on general sale in the UK

Though I do wish I had known that they would be for sale there before I went and ordered some Rocket Raccoon polys from the States a week beforehand :hmpf_bad:

Recently, other than CHima sets, I bought:

- Parisian Restaurant (Best modular ever!)

- Pet Shop (Pet shop. You know PETS, so yeah)

- Cargo Truck (Wanted a Orange Lift... Looks like my Toyota left at my job o.o)

- Grand prix racer (Costco at 40% off!)

- Supercar 8070 (used but not played with, 60% off...)

- 2 PAB cups (Mainly large green plates, horses, stairs and 1x2 dark red bricks)

- 2 Huge bricklink orders, mainly reddish brown parts for my "Chima wall" MOC and a few technic parts :)

Yesterday i bought the 42009 crane. At first opening the box i was " terrified" on huge amount of bags and pieces although i had read too many reviews about. I was not ready for that.

After that, i felt like little child with its first toy. It is awesome! It is big! It is huge!

Finally was able to get myself a copy of the Home One Mon Calamari set from a few years back. Also picked up Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider for a quick build. :classic:

Bought the 10243 Parisian Restaurant, but am now paying a tax on it? When/why did this happen? Someone said you only have to pay taxes on LEGO if there is a store, in my case, state. I don't know if thats true, but I do know I've never paid taxes on S@H before :sceptic::classic:

There was a law that passed recently forcing online retailers to collect sales tax also (or it will be passing soon?). Either way, LEGO now collects taxes. I think they have for most of this past year because since I live nowhere near a store (and there isn't one in my state) I always ordered online, and I remember getting hit by tax a lot this year.

I don't buy anything except gifts in December, so the last thing I bought was two Rocket raccoon poly bags ( one to open one to hoard) and two brown ninja polys. My TRU had a whole bin of the rocket polys and they were gone within a few days, so I got pretty lucky!
