Christmas on Hoth

This is my entry for the Xmas Contest, Vignette Category.

It is a vignette based on Hoth.

Two battling factions cease fire and celebrate a common tradition- Christmas.

Just like the soldiers at Gallipoli during the First World War here on Earth ceased fire during Christmas, so did these Rebels and Snowtroopers on this Christmas a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

• It's a new MOC.
  
• It is Star Wars themed.
  
• It is in the holiday spirit.
  
• It uses no clone parts.
  
• It has no overhang- as you can see in the 'bird's view' picture below.
  

The two factions decided to break up the fighting over Christmas. They decorated the turret, chucked their weapons away, rose the Snowtroopers' turret and decorated it, and started dancing around it!

They took the famous Scandinavian "Små grodorna" (Little frogs), and made it into a more Star Wars friendly version. The outcome: They are now dancing "Little Taun-Tauns".

As mentioned, the Snowtroopers' turret became a Christmas tree, in lack of real evergreens.

Colourful banners were hung in the Rebel turret, and it became really Christmas-y in the blink of an eye!

Very nice MOC. My only criticism is that Han and the Snowtrooper look to be in a very "awkward" position. Other than that, it is great.

I love this MOC. It looks really nice. One suggestion would be to have the Snowtroopers and the Rebels getting along, like in WWI when the Alliance and Entente had peace on Christmas Day

I do agree that Han and that Snowtrooper in front of him may need their position changed slightly. Han looks far too "gay". Han better keep this photo away from Princess Leia.

Scandinavian traditions are crazier than the Tusken Raider test of manhood...

The poses Han and the Snowtrooper are doing isn't anything fishy, it's only the way you do the dance.

Hehe, anyway, prateek, what do you mean? The whole idea with this MOC is to show that the Snowtroopers and Rebels are getting along, if that doesn't show clearly, I have failed.

Anyway, great entry! I suggest adding some more trans studs of the 'trench' for decorations.
