Strange pod found - maybe of alien origin?

Recommended Posts

Whoah what the heck :oh:

That sure is mysterious

Looks cool though, with a few chrome (right?) elements, and the minfig is new too.

Something new for Space (Police III) perhaps?

Greetings,

CF W

The homepage is a blast

Funny movie, I wonder what it is for. Obviously Space Police yes, but will they release new sets?

Well, on their website it says that they have permission by lego.

It could of course be a marketing trick... :hmpf_bad:

Hilarous presentation xDD

Atlantis... hm... not quite. They got different collors and suits

Space Police? Doesn't look like policeman. And we seen that the policemen will have red windshields

Mars Mission 2? Better not

Lets ust say... that this is the prelude to new lego space series. Now, what we had in 1990? Futuron, Blacktron II maybe... so prepare for Futuron II :D I knew it - First Pirates now Space :)

While it looks pretty good, the only new element I can see is the helmet; you can get the chrome plated megaphone on bricklink, I think. But, if you want to know who the website is run by, it's

http://whois.org/whois/bradfordrant.org , which says it's Lego themselves.

The spoiler is just in case you don't want to know, and continue with the mystery.

The minifigs are taking over Earth! :sing::look: I'd better watch out, my room is filled with armed Star Wars figs!:wink:

Whatever, according to the website, the rules of the pods is like this:

"Finders keepers losers weepers"

I'm so picking up one if it is in Sweden!

Very funny film. I like it that they speak american, then english with danish accent, then they even speak german. I wonder what this is, is it going to be a new theme? Perhaps a new space theme? Or nothing like this at all, just random fun or advert for LU? Nice anyway..

Hmm... the unfiction site is definitely adding something to this search. The code in the film doesn't work on the Lego universe code entry place, so that doesn't need to be checked...

I laughed when they took his helmet off to reveal a smile and they said He looks preaty serious. My opinion is it could be a new line they did mention a new chrome peice they have never seen before and the minifig looked new as well, i was realy hoping to see a blacktron minifig inside but you know...

I looked on their website and seeing the Coordinates and 2 are supposedly in America according to the coordinates. One is by Eportersville Road near what I think is Route 79, and one by Carlin near Route 80.

So none in England then? Typical of Lego, America or Denmark. :sceptic:

The coordinates point to Fort Worth, Texas. LEGOLAND located there? New shop opening? I heard something about the latter a few weeks ago... too bad I'm an ocean away, otherwise this would have been a wonderful excuse for a lil nice road trip...

P.S.: Just noticed that the Unfiction guys have already shared that information...

Based on the forum page that strider406 posted I'm almost certain that this is a LU promo. It has the right colors (sand blue and orange) and everything, even that rounded, no-studs LU asthetic, and the deciphered names on the plaque are the same as some of the ones that have been released about LU. Even the figs on the plaque are flexible like they are in the game. I think I'll pass on this, unless the coordinates appear right over Downtown Disney.

The tone of the site reminds me of Paul Adshead's old Justin Thyme puzzle site (which he has since changed), althoug considerabely less complex.

Cool, a viral thing by The TLG to promote something new, maybe a new line or something.

The figure has a new torso and a newish head.

He has a LEGO SP3 Helmet.

On the Pod, the figs torso and on the helmet the number 1 is dotted around.

I might be a Bionicle guy, but this has got me interested.

Ha, that was an amusing film. Maybe it's a glimpse of a theme that we'll see in the future (the head looks new!)?

Those chrome megaphones are awesome, too!

The website is also very interesting. Hopefully we'll find out more about this video and the site! :sweet:

What are the Carlin coordinates? Its in the middle of the Nevada desert. I live not too far away from there.

 Hah, I don't really care what this was for, it made me laugh. I loved the part where they took off his helmet ("perhaps he's in a coma?"), and "oh he looks serious". And, "What's this? It's some sort of chrome... it's beautiful". And lastly, "Check out this dish, I think he might be signaling to his home planet".

 Thanks for sharing, CopMike.
