Men of the imperial order

Recommended Posts

as lego purist i would say:

1) because that are "commanders" (dunno what they are called exactly, the rank between the soldiers (the high black hat, blue shoulder stuff and brown backpack) and the admirals (the guys with yellow stuff and the black-white hat), they should all look like commander riker from star trek

2) IF they would wear rifles they should be brown instead of black :P

3) actually they wear sabres (and maybe the brown pistols, but am not sure about it)

4) they should be mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Thanks guy's. You have proven that my FAKE Imperial soldiers work like a charm :D

Why FAKE. Well. No part af these have ever been Imperial :oo Except perhaps the yellow epaulette.

The MOST fake part is the Torso ;) It is a red torso with a homemade sticker *satis*

And yes the Musket should have been brown.

And yes the heads are from various figs.

The hats collected from pirates.

first of all: they should get blue shoulder stuff... ;) :P

why have you used red torsos? were there any particular reasons??? (e.g. availability of red torsos, or is it better for the decals, etc)

and how are the decals made? are they simple stickers? have you used any real gold or silver color on it? (i know i had some gold color for plastic models i made as child)

Cool, your decals look sweet and I wouldn't have realised they were fake if you hadn't of said.

Nice work!

Jon.

Simple stickers! But with clear plastic on. Like the one you use for books!

No ekstra paint. Only what the printer could make.

I used the red torso to make sure that I had the right red color!

So the sticker is only the white part!

Yeah. But hell cutting 'em out *devil*

These guy's have the full sticker on a white torso.

Since they have white arms you don't notice the color-difference so much.

But with red arms it is wrong.

What do you mean by "with clear plastic on?"

Did you add a spray-on coating to the printed stickers on something?

did you ever try to use silver underneath the drawing to give it the shining colors of the original?

Oups. Missed this one.

It is clear plastic tape. The kind you would use to wrap books in ;)

did you ever try to use silver underneath the drawing to give it the shining colors of the original?

Nope. But perhaps I should

How could miss anything in a thread like this?

Imperial John you are a pioneer in the field of mini-figure torso recreation! May your efforts one day satisfy the high demand for Imperial Guards which The LEGO Company has been neglecting for so many years...
