Also, what type of paint do you use? Do you find that it scratches off easily? Or does it stay put rather well? You can feel free to use them. I will often use the games workshop paints as i find their colour range matches the lego colours closest. and using some hardcoat varnish on the paint and over the decals adds a nice shine and protects them well from scratching.
