LDD Emerald Night and Passenger Train Crossover Car

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I do believe this is one of my first posts in the Town & Train Forum, so I'm totally new to this arena. After some embarrassing MOC attempts last year, I've finally mustered up enough courage to post my first remotely successful digital traincar MOC. It is, as the title suggests, a combination of 10194 style and the passenger car from 7897 Passenger Train. Pictures are below, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.

Welcome Francis. I moved this topic to Train Tech as we've recently moved all train-related material to the new forum.

In regard to your creation, it reminds me of a classic Pullman coach. While I normally prefer the larger 3x4 train windows, the use of the smaller white windows looks good for this creation. It definately has an Emerald Night look about it. Nice job. It would also be nice to see the roof.

It's posted now, but I don't particularly like the grey background...

Your cars looks nice so far, but I have 3 complaints:

1) The windows are too low. I can see just the, not the minifig´s faces.

2) A white roof? Hmmmmmmh. Do they actually exist in that color? I would prefer light or dark gray.

3) No doors? Come on.

Keep on building - I would like to this in real.

Here we go, a side by side of a grey roof and a white one.

Here we go, a side by side of a grey roof and a white one.

The roof looks way to big, meaning it comes down too far.

Elevate the windows by one brick (using the same brown structure like underneath) and cut the same one brick off the roof.

I´m sure it will look much better.
