... when you are looking at a real-life object and wondering what SNOT technique would capture that object's shape best

... when you convert distances to minifig-scale studs, be constantly reminded that a minifig has seriously f#@$ed up proportions, but would never accept Lego adapting the minifig

D@$#% you Lego for using extended legs on those new toy story figs

You try to introduce cousins/siblings/children to Lego shortly after they are born

Then realize what a bad mistake you have made when they rip apart your favourite set, and banish them from your room.

...When your idea of a 2x4 is not a piece of lumber/wood.

You can call wood a 2x4 as well? *huh*

Good ones so far, here is mine.

When you go to bed and find a random lego brick under you.

So true, has happened to me numerous times. Sometimes I can´t even lie in my bed at night due to me using it as storage space for half-built MOCs or rare pieces.

......When you find yourself arguing with your Seven and Four year old kids over who gets to have the rare piece that suddenly all three of you need.

...Or your younger sister, who´s not even into lego!

(A while I wondered where all my rare pieces were, they disappeared all the time.. until I saw my dear sis trying to put them on eBay. :oh::angry: )

...you do not consider stepping on a LEGO piece to be the most painful thing in the world.

...horses or male pornstars aren't the first thing you think of when hearing "stud".

...you always sweep the floors before your wife/girlfriend gets around to do it. Because god knows what pieces will be lost otherwise!

...when you are an Indian fakir who prefers lying on LEGO bricks to lying on a bed of nails.

...when you are learning a foreign language and are trying to learn all the LEGO specific terms like "bley" and "stud" in that language. (By the way, my mother tongue is German  ).

...when you throw LEGO bricks at a burglar to drive him away.

...when you can't pay the parking fine because you've used up all your money for LEGO.

...when you've forgotten about your Playmobil past in your childhood.

...when you give all your relatives LEGO presents on occassions such as birthdays and Christmas.

...when you are only Christian because you believe that God gave us LEGO.

...when you believe you can fix the ozone hole with LEGO bricks.

...You have so many LEGO instruction books that its easier to download the one you want from the net instead of finding it in your many boxes.

...You keep buying parts (Bricklink etc) because they "look cool" without actually knowing what to do with them.

...Every time you build a MOC, you try and see just how many "cool" parts you can fit in there even if it may not work best for that MOC.

Yep I know the feeling. (3 nephews & 1 neice all under 4 yrs, all love lego thanks to me. )

When you keep the piece that your vacum broke because you can't bare to throw it away.

Similar story for me, I got a soldier impulse but after afew weeks the torso got scratched (just from being in a box with other LEGO!!!) so the gold came off but I just cant bring myself to throw it out. (Same with other broken pieces I have)

...when you see the postman out your window every morning and you cross your fingers that a friend or relative has sent you a LEGO set with him. :classic:

Or a Bricklink order you just made 5 minutes ago.

You're on a date with a LEGO Woman (Customized to perfection!)

You try to kill your cat when he completely pulverises an...... EXCLUSIVE............. COUNT DOOKU......... Minifigure.......... (True Story :cry_sad: And no, I didn't try to kill him, but I threw him around a little and I admit that I cried.)

...or if you make sure you get home before your wife so you can put your recently arrived order in the Lego room before she sees it.

Also...

...if you have a Lego room.

...a Lego budget that exceeds the amount of money you spend on food.

....You find yourself fighting a five year old over the last Clone Battlepack on the shelf at Walmart.

....You think hobbies like collecting cars (real and model) are silly

....You dream of sets that you wish will happen, but probably, only because there is a LEGO brick in your pillow

....You can type of entire pages of set wish lists in every forum, but don't because you are short on time, mainly because you got an idea on building something.

....You cry yourself to sleep at night because your LEGO is packed up. :cry_sad:

....You find broken body pieces (droid arms, torsos, the like) and decorate them to look bloody, have blaster or bullet holes, or burnt because they would make MOCs look better or because you couldn't throw them away.
