  1. 1. Have you ever ended up with extra pieces that should not be there?

I was just curious about some very odd things with my sets. My UCS Falcon, for example, came with 24 "Wedge, Plates, 4x2 Right" and 22 of the Left matching plate. (I would put a link to Bricklink, but it keeps freezing up my computer)

Also, my Chauchilla Cemetary came with 3 1x1 Dark bley tiles, which are not even used in the set. There are several other cases like this with my 'collection,' but I can only think of these right now.

And yes, I built them perfectly. The pieces should not be there at all.

Has this happened to anybody else?

My old Spongebob house had some pieces missing but there was a blue tap, blue plates, and a basketball net. It was wierd. My Indy set didn't have those extra. I've had some others. Someone got an extra CW Obi-Wan!

most sets I purchase typically have four to five extra pieces, mostly consisting of cheese slopes, technic pins, and 1x1 studs. I'll occasionally get a spare piece such as a sword(which is a big plus for me).

I was lucky enough to get a spare bag of 1x2 dark red and dark grey jumpers with Town Plan.

One of my friends got double accesories in the Republic Attack Gunship, does that count?

I don't think so. From what I've seen on Brickshelf, it happens all the time with that set, along with the AT-TE set.

Back in the day the old Yellow Castle was stuffed with extra goodies. Extra visors were the norm. In my copy I received an extra grey and white visor. Unfortunately, I have long since lost one of the whites and a black one! Apparently LEGO didn't realize that I didn't need an extra grey visor but I sure could have used an extra black one!

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who got extra wing plates. I even had the same number of extra pieces as you. It's funny, when I finished the millenium falcon I thought I had skipped a page or two of instructions, but I guess not.

I've never had this in a Lego set before, but probably because I've never bought a set over $20 :cry_sad:

I've gotten an extra weapon or two, but nothing major.

However, Exobuilder got a horse in an EF set he bought.

Me too, and I've seen it being reported before (lucky batch I guess).

Oh and in the City harbor set (7994), I got a separate bag containing 6 white boat/plane windows, even though they were also in other bags, mixed up with other parts :sceptic: O

I get a habdful of the smallest parts and the odd extra sword or visor. The most useful of these are cheese slopes and 1x1 stud pins as I use a lot of those parts. I haven't ever had something that doesn't belong and I haven't had any super mega wow amounts of extra's. I don't mind having the extra's (its an odd set that doesn't have a few small spares) as I can use them in my MOCs. I think on my next online Lego splurge (as much of Agents 2.0 as I can plus the SPIII impulses?) I will save all the extra parts to see exactly what I get...

I've had extra stickers once or twice - e.g. the transparent stickers in the Agents truck (haven't used them yet though - mainly cause I doubt I need a second forcefield panel).

My soldier from 8396 Soldier's Arsenal had no legs, but there was a brown 2x2 brick instead. This is the only time I got a piece that didn't belong in the set at all.

I don't think I've ever got a set with exactly the number of pieces indicated on the box. There are always at least a few extra small elements.

To make that perfectly clear, all of those plates were actually leftover. I guess the factory dumped two loads in one box, which was mine.

I said extra pieces that should not be there. Those are intended, and come with almost every set.

It would have to be a Harry Potter set...

Then start saving.

Normally they are just twice the amount of a part that is in the set. That's a little rarer. Edited by booger540
