liquidcross Posted July 17, 2009 Time for another quickie! Set Info Set Name: Mini MTT Theme: Star Wars Subtheme: Mini Building Set Released: 2003 Pieces: 99 Price: USD $6.99 / GBP £6.99 Minifigs: n/a (Sorry, I don't have a box to shoot.) Manual Random Page Final Model Since Mini sets go together so quickly, here's a few shots of the final model. Nice use of antennae/control sticks for the forward guns, and a working hatch in the back for loading. Last Words Pros: Larger than most Mini sets, and it's a great representation of the Trade Federation's troop carrier. Cons: Even though it's a Mini set, there's not a whole lot of detail. The working hatch in the back is a nice touch, though. Overall: If you can't afford either of the two fullsize MTT sets that LEGO has released, then this Mini version is the perfect alternative. Just use a bunch of 1x1 circular plates as battle droids? :) Links Peeron Brickset BrickLink

ILikePi Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) Are you trying to get into the academy ? What are you talking about? You don't have to do anything at all to join the Reviewer's Academy. Thanks for a great review of a LEGO Star Wars set that I never knew existed, liquidcross! The model looks a bit too long compared to the large MTT, though. Is the mini model line that comes with one-fourth of a fifth model? Edited July 17, 2009 by ILikePi
RileyC Posted July 17, 2009 I agree with Pi, this set does seem to be longer than it should. However the colours they used are great and it looks like a fine set. Great review!
Commander Flash Posted July 18, 2009 Oh, I thought you had to do a certain amount of reviews
liquidcross Posted July 18, 2009 Is the mini model line that comes with one-fourth of a fifth model? Yep, this one came with a Y-wing nacelle.
VBBN Posted July 18, 2009 Thanks for the review. I must say, for a set that is larger than most minis, I actually dislike it much more. It just needs something more. To me it's a block of brown with a hatch, whereas it's larger cousins are far better. I know it has restrictions due to size, but this is one of the very last minis I would consider getting. And for the record, the MTT is my favorite CIS vehicle apart from the MAF. -VBBN
def Posted July 18, 2009 I really like this ship full size, and had wanted this, but seeing this, the mini looks a bit dull. The shape is boring. But thanks for the review, it was a set I was really interested in and I appreciate being informed.
