Natman8000 Posted May 21, 2009 Sorta ruins the classic in them, but they for sure look great. I'll have to try some brickarms out some day.
Sir Dillon Posted May 22, 2009 While I suppose it "ruins the classic in them" if you're trying to build a classic army, I like the mixture of new and old parts, particularly on the Black Falcon and Crusader.
Sir Dano Posted May 22, 2009 Thanks. Here's the rest of the "classic" factions.
Ratshot Posted May 22, 2009 Wow they look great. I do agree with the others, it does kind if ruin the classic look, but they still look great.
Razzer Posted May 23, 2009 Wow they look great. I do agree with the others, it does kind if ruin the classic look, but they still look great. Fair enough, but I for one love it when people modernise classic minifigs with new/fleshy faces as it keeps the classic Lego feel for me just enough so that it is recognisable as classic but still can fit in with new pieces in MOCs. Bazziman Posted May 26, 2009 Fair enough, but I for one love it when people modernise classic minifigs with new/fleshy faces as it keeps the classic Lego feel for me just enough so that it is recognisable as classic but still can fit in with new pieces in MOCs. Me too. I love my black falcons with their new faces and I am thinking of upgrading them too wth new weapons and shields. It's the same (or rather the oposite) with trolls for me; I 'downgrade' their weapons to more realistic ones (I don't like the oversized fake looking troll / orc swords). There's a balance to be sought afaic.
Visorak-kal Posted May 26, 2009 Neat modernization of Classic figs...I especially like the modernization of the second group, definitely menacing. I must ask, though--what face is there behind that Bat mask in the second group? It doesn't appear to be the usual Bat-Lord face, but I could be wrong...it looks SUPERBLY menacing with that mask.... Great job with the customization! VK

Visorak-kal Posted May 27, 2009 (edited) It's this head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb060 Thanks! I actually have that head, will have to try it with my collection of bat helmets once I get them out of storage. It's a perfect combination! Adam Posted May 27, 2009 I disagree with these figures "ruining the classic feel" - I think these are a perfect, almost 2.0 style. The sabre on the Wolfpack figrue works marvelously, in my opinion.
alex12 Posted May 27, 2009 I love everything about them. Great stuff . Gotta get myself some stuff from the Brickforge right away.
