What would you do with black epaulettes?

I thought castle swords because of the scene in "Jason and the Argonauts" where he fights the skeleton soldiers at the end.

I believe I've seen that movie, but I can't remember that anymore. Abyway, I wouldn't give them castle swords if you also give them pistols, doesn't really fit if you ask me. Besides, I doubt they had pistols in "Jason and the Argonauts".

You know, we are talking about a skeleton army and you are making sure they have "correct" weapons. They are fighting skeletons! Who cares what kind of swords they have! I just thought it would look cool!

The black epaulettes are classy, I think. All the options mentioned so far sound interesting. Perhaps they'd fit a rich character who isn't a pirate or government-related? Say, a wealthy merchant? (That, or on Black Pearl... No, not the ship! A sexy female pirate. Heh.)

I think they'd look quite fetching with the standard morion helmet. Which in itself should come in bley...

You could go with a trimmed-down ninja sword, or the ultra-rare black shortsword
