Sir Dano Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) 73d Cutlass Island is an Imperial fort infamous for it's lazy guards, but Honor Harrington, the new commander, plans on making them the best. She faces much hatred and prejudice, but she will prove herself in the upcoming midnight raid by Captain Rascus the Bold and his crew. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/34746...57617223195767/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=380322 http://mocpages.com/moc.php/114740 Edited November 16, 2009 by SlyOwl
mania3 Posted April 26, 2009 Good MOC. It really brings back memories from my childhood, for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about this, as I said, really reminds me of the early days of Pirates. All in all, I really like it.
Izzy Posted April 26, 2009 Very nice.... if you had any 1x2 white snot it would finish off the battlement beautifully.
Zorro Posted April 26, 2009 That's a very nice and good looking fortress island! The Imperials will be happy with such a fort! I especcialy like the two leveled tower.
TLV Posted April 26, 2009 nice fort you've got there! it has that classic pirates feel yet it incorporates newer building techniques. i'd say the imperials are in deep trouble... they are way outnumbered.
Guss Posted April 26, 2009 Really cool little island Sir Dano, I love the rocks and the drunken soldiers ^^
martinsuper Posted April 27, 2009 I like small to midsized forts. I think you can enjoy the detail a lot more.
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 27, 2009 Great fortress you've got there! It looks cool and there are lots of details on it. The water could be flourished up by adding different colours (dark blue, light blue and white) and some floating stuff. The fort itself is perfect to me. But there is such a small flag on it, you haven't a larger one? From a large distance the ships can't see if there are Red or Bluecoats in there... Keep it up! Commodore Hornbricker Posted April 27, 2009 I really like the little rock outcrop and greenery at the base. It does seem to capture that classic-pirates feel. Well done.
Sir Dano Posted April 27, 2009 Thanks for the comments, everyone. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about this, as I said, really reminds me of the early days of Pirates. It's loosely based off Sabre Island, so that may be why. if you had any 1x2 white snot it would finish off the battlement beautifully. I don't have enough white 1 x 2 tiles, unfortunately. But there is such a small flag on it, you haven't a larger one? No I don't, I may order one off BL in the future though.
Captain Green Hair Posted April 27, 2009 Well if you have a large red flag, i'd trade it for a blue one Nice little fort you made there, the landscaping and water are well done too!
Sir Dano Posted April 27, 2009 Well if you have a large red flag, i'd trade it for a blue one Bah, Redcoats forever! Nice little fort you made there, the landscaping and water are well done too! Thanks.

Sir Dano Posted April 27, 2009 I take back what I said. This fort does not impress me one bit. Ah, but my Redcoats aren't British, they're the Royal Manticoran Navy.

martinsuper Posted April 28, 2009 Ah, but my Redcoats aren't British, they're the Royal Manticoran Navy. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I get it now, because anyone who knows about the Royal Manticoran Navy knows they they are NOTHING like the british at all!
Admiral M Posted May 1, 2009 Nice tower! I like your little story behind it, perhaps next you can make a battle of this. The style of the building is good, and I like the terrain. I think you could work on the water a bit, perhaps you could make SNOT waves?
