Scouty Posted May 16, 2007 Not to be off topic, but this thready looks a little messed up. Silly, if you will. Not the content, but the frame of it all.
Sir Dillon Posted May 16, 2007 Not to be off topic, but this thready looks a little messed up. Silly, if you will. Not the content, but the frame of it all. It's messed up for me too. (It seems a lot of older threads are too)
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted May 17, 2007 The same for me!
Hobbes Posted May 17, 2007 That's FF, or rather FF not being able to interpret something in the code correctly. Happens sometimes, I dunno what it is. You'll have to use IE or the IE tab extension for FF for those topics, I'm afraid.
Shadows Posted May 17, 2007 Always wondered what caused that ... thanks Hobbes!
Sir Dillon Posted May 17, 2007 Interesting... thanks for the explanation Hobbes. :-)
Hobbes Posted May 17, 2007 A little research revealed: It's a known FF bug with older posts that were created with a previous board version. So, nothing we can do about it ;-)
oo7 Posted May 17, 2007 So, nothing we can do about it ;-) Are you sure? Old topics like this one don't display correctly in Firefox, only in IE. Although once a post is 'full edited' and re-saved it is reverted back to it's normal state. Page two of this thread is a little more messed up than that thread, so I'm not sure whether that will work here too. The discrepancies in that thread are caused by the quoting, BTW. oo7 Posted May 17, 2007 Uh, yes? Uh, ok. Unless you want to edit every weird looking post... Uh, what? 8-| Was that quote supposed to be in the middle of that sentence?
Hobbes Posted May 18, 2007 Was that quote supposed to be in the middle of that sentence? Yes, it was. I just wanted to remind you of the only possibility to change the weird looking posts - which you presented yourself...
oo7 Posted May 18, 2007 Yes, it was. I just wanted to remind you of the only possibility to change the weird looking posts - which you presented yourself... Possibility.....so it does work here, on the second page? If so, I wouldn't say there's nothing we can do about it ;-)
Hobbes Posted May 18, 2007 Read the explanation again: Old posts, previous board software. By editing the old posts you "make" them "new", hence they can be displayed. And the posts on this page are fairly new, too. So, again, the only possibility is to edit the old posts and thus make them new posts. That was also the quintessence of your post (whether you intended to or not). All clear?
maiq the liar Posted May 19, 2007 in my opinion, i like IE, and like it more then firefox. (though i've never tried firefox...) *laughs as the firefox fans start getting mad *
