DarthSion Posted March 20, 2009 Well the first cast photo is out of the 3rd show, for those who don't know basically its supposed to be set in the future and on a Lantian/ancient ship called destiny which they find in a far of place and the ship cant return home. From my understanding it features the 9th Chevron, there as been a few speculations on it. 1. (holding my personal opinion) Some seem to think the 9th Chevron will make the show actually stargate sliders. 2. The more common and logical belief is that using the phone system like Daniel did in SG1, 7 dials local, 8 dials interstate, so 9 must go international, or in this case even further into the universe. It sounds interesting, but is not supposed to be meant for us fans, but made to suck in younger new fans as it is well to put simply, what Clone Wars is to Star Wars. How ever it is going to be made up of a couple of known actors, but mostly no bodies. Obviously the biggest being the lead, Robert Carlyle from that drug movie, and as Hitler in Hitler:rise of evil, which he was brilliant as. Second being Lou Diamond Phillips, yep, Young Guns 1 and 2. From what i have heard it wont be getting the usual sg slot, (ie mid July USA), supposedly SYFY (yeah sci fi channel has changed its name) whats to put SGU back to back with Amanda Tapping's Sanctuary. Well, I liked a lot more than I disliked about the other 2 shows, so I am sure I will watch this one. It sounds interesting, but is not supposed to be meant for us fans, but made to suck in younger new fans as it is well to put simply, what Clone Wars is to Star Wars. Hopefully it's not outright insulting to watch. but mostly no bodies. Oh, come on. Everyone knows Ming Na from Street Fighter where she played Chun Li (really, if anyone saw that movie how could they ever forget it, no matter how hard they try) and being the voice of Mulan and more recently a supporting role in Push. Obviously the biggest being the lead, Robert Carlyle from that drug movie, and as Hitler in Hitler:rise of evil, which he was brilliant as. I never saw the second movie, but I assume the first one is Formula 51? He was also in 28 Weeks Later and a Bond villain in The World is Not Enough. I actually didn't recognise him at all in that movie and it wasn't until very recently I realised it was him. He seems a solid enough actor for this. Second being Lou Diamond Phillips, yep, Young Guns 1 and 2. Where did this choice come from? The last thing I saw him in that I thought was at least decent was The Big Hit and even that wasn't a spectacular movie (and it was at least a decade ago I believe). Here's hoping on him. While this looks interesting, I probably won't watch it simply because I have never seen any of the other series. I did see the movie however, and that was really good.
