Hi !

Here is my second MOC : a UCS AT-TE.

First, I must say that it is inspired from Reto Geiger's one, especially for the chassis. Nevertheless, there are a lot of modifications, to make the model as accurate as possible.

The model is very big : 69cm long and about 3600 parts.

The roof of the cockpit and the body can be opened to see the interior.

P.S. WOW!

Very good  Are you going to make the legs?

It said towards the end that he already has, and there's a link to a picture

Thanks for your kind words ! :classic:

Great work. It's pretty similar to Bossk's who I think had the same inspiration as yours. Great work  .

Yes, Bossk and I exchange some ideas on my (French) Lego forum. It is useful to improve our MOC. :classic:

Edit :

Yes, the legs are already built. Here is a photo :

When are you going to add the legs to the body? I want to see how it looks like

It looks perfect! I can't wait to see final photos.

Yes ! That is what I want ! I really spend a lot of time to find the best way to built. And I search if the parts have already been produced in the color I need. For example, I DO NOT want any old gray and dark old gray parts. But for the cannon, I think that I will be compelled to resort such colors, since the parts I need have never been produced in light bluish and dark bluish gray.

Otherwise, the model is currently too heavy to stand on his 6 feet. As I wrote above, I have to strengthen the midlle fixation.

If I don't succeed, I put some trans-cleat brick below. But that's definitely ugly. :/

awesome UCS AT-TE.

for 3500 parts count, i think TLC would consider make this UCS, i hope so. crossed fingers.

very nice design for the body.

for the feet, i hope you can find the strongest building technique for them.

if possible, maybe you can make the body less weight by eliminating non-structure parts.

just my two cents.

great work.

Great job Anio!

Everything looks great, with no odd colors showing out!

You might need a bigger republic emblem, though...

EDIT: Yay! I'm a citizen!

Oh, and by the way, I love those greebles you put on it.

Great job so far. I actually think it looks better than Bossk's. You've just gotten the shape perfect, and I hope you figure out the sturdiness problems soon, I want to see what this will look like complete! Again, great work so far!

building it is the easy part it's the collecting of parts that is difficult!

Ha ha.

Try to build one if you think it is so easy to get a perfect MOC.

And there is a lot of difference between my MOC and the building instruction, even if you don't see them.

i did build it, thats why i said that the two main legs cannot support the weight even with major modifications. which i find strange because when i asked retro he said his AT-TE stood on its legs no problem????

You are right. If I build the model like Reto Geiger's one, the legs cannot support the weight.

But Bossk's AT-TE stand on its legs. So, I also may be able to do it.

Look at this photo :

prototype_07-25-04.jpg

All the weight seems to be supported by the middle legs.

I have to strengthen the middle of my MOC. :sadnew:

Some parts do not have the right color. But I will change them soon.

I also have to make the inside (below the cannon).

Besides, I think that I won't remove the black bricks. They really support the MOC. With them, the MOC is much stronger ! :)

I will try to make them with trans-clear bricks, or something like that. :)

I hope you like. :)

Friggin' awesome.

That looks fantastic...I am at a loss for words here

You might consider switching the black support bricks to 2x2 round trans-clear bricks or something similar.

It would be so amazing if LEGO made a set like this! That thing is beautiful! :cry_happy::thumbup:

Hi everybody ! :classic:

The MOC is nearly finished. I still have to do add some parts (trans-clear support brick round 1x1 for example).

With a friend, we also will do a sticker for the UCS to be very accurate, just like my TIE UCS.

The ATTE also have an interior, with 10 seats. Here is a photo that show the whole left side of the MOC.

dscn9404.jpg

I hope I will be able to show you the MOC complete soon.

Meeeow!

This thing just gets better with every picture you post here.

Do you have an estimate on how long you've been building on this?

Hum... I would say that I spend about 200 hours to design and build the model.

And it has about 3600 parts.
