A little homage to one of the best writer there is

Recommended Posts

I finally got my hands on a few indiana jones set and I just couldn't help see the resemblance. It really is striking.

I can't wait to get the shanghai chase set for that black fedora. Then it will be just perfect.

So here it is, Terry Pratchett himself LEGOised :sweet:

accurate down to the leather jacket and the darker shade of gray in the moustache. He's even got the round glasses...

Now we just have to wait for a Discworld theme

(I hope I put it in the right forum, but I never quite know where that kind of topic is suposed to go...)

Great work.

I think this belongs in the Minifig Customization Workshop...but one never knows when it comes to Discworld

I think that has to be one of the most accurate minifig version of a person I've ever seen.

Very cool.

I'm a bit of a fan of Prachett, too, but I never would've figured out this obvious resemblance. So well done on finding it out!

I love Discworld, and anything Terry Pratchett, and I must say that that is a very striking resemblance. Thanks for sharing! :sweet:

Hmmm, a Lego Squeak would be interesting...

I just started reading them a month ago, and am already in the 7th book! Very nice, good idea and very well done! I have been debating a Discowrld creation forever. (Forever in this case is the month since I started reading them

Hey hey! Darn right "best writer there is!" There's a reason my small regiment of old school Imp Guards are called the In and Outs! :pir_laugh2:

I showed the pic of the minifig to my sister (who is also a Pratchett fan, but not so much a Lego fan), and it made her grin, so it's obviously recognizable!

I actually got to meet him October '07 , and I gotta say, the resemblance is downright scary (but in a good way). Kudos on a fine minifig!

Cheers

Doesn't look a thing like Douglas Adams... :sceptic:

Ok, fine, it's a good Pratchett, it really is.

nice.

i like the glasses. how you make them?

He didn't, it's just Sean "Henry Jones" Connery's head from the Indiana Jones series.

LOL Unless you mean Pratchett's actual glasses, in which case I assume he went to an optometrist!

Perfect job, which I will shamelessly copy this week.

I intended to recreate the Discworld after the end of the lisence but i might pick it up faster.

I'm definitly a Discworld fan as you can see in my name and sig.

btw for the Dutch speaking fans please visit my Discworld fansite www.l-space.nl
