Clone Designer:I call it the Mini V-19 Torrent!

Information

Name:Mini V-19 Torrent

Set number:8031

Pieces:70

Theme:Star Wars

Episode:Clone Wars

Minifigs:None(Too small for any!)

Release:2008

1)Welcome! Lets begin with the plastic bag!

plastic.jpg

It contains the image of the Lego product.

2)Instructions

Front page

instruction11.jpg

This is the front page of the booklet. The booklet is like any other booklet that Lego has produced for a mini product. It is a small sheet that can be unfolded to be a large piece of sheet as shown above!

Back page

instruction12.jpg

The other side of the booklet.

3)Features

Wing movement

wing_movement.jpg

This is the design that is used to make the wing move. I would have thought of a very complicated design but Lego’s design of how to connect and move the wing is simple yet effective!

Base Tail Connector

lower_wing_movement.jpg

This is the connector that brings the tail and base of the ship together. A very simple yet unique design!

Tail connector

tail_connector.jpg

If you are wondering what in the world is he talking about? Well, it’s simple this connector is the one connecting the tail itself and the Base Tail Connector. Fine, I ran out of names to call it okay!If you are wondering why there is a date only for this picture but not for the rest. Will it is bacause I used a different Camera!

These are the left over parts that are included in this promotional set.4 pieces, not bad for a small set. Usually Lego gives like only 2 pieces for left over for small sets.

6)Modification

Piece used

This is the piece that I used to make the modification. It is from the left over parts.

Parts left

8)Ending

irony.jpg

Stormtrooper: Yes! I have finally grown bigger! Now…how do I get out of here again?

Playability:8/10 (It is a really good model especially if you are making a mini clone wars movie!)

Design:9/10 (I really like the design on how it looks almost like the real thing! But I think my ‘modification’ made it better. Back to the review, the model has some very nice, simple yet unique features!)

Price:10/10{/b] (Of course I put full marks! This is because I won it from the raffle as shown at the front page! For those buying from bricklink, the price that they are selling for is definitely worth it!)

Overall:9/10 (A very nice set for playing with!)

I would recommend this set to many people even though I got it for free. It has a nice build and it is very similar to the other v-19 torrent set! Thanks to CopMike for giving me the opportunity to get this set!

Later today seems to have come around a little late.

No matter - I've indexed this.

Thanks pr0visorak.

I've got this set, but can't seem to perusade myself to open the crisp polybag just to build it.

Perhaps I've been contained by the MISB fever...I've already got the UCS MF and new DS just sitting there MISB..

:cry_sad:

This is the only polybag SW set I don't own and you won it here. I hate you.

Congrats and nice review!

By the way, what is a MISB fever?

It's the disease where you keep a set sealed (Mint In Sealed Bag/Box), treating it like a collectible as opposed to a toy, usually with the idea that it'll be worth a lot more later, but sometimes because it just looks really nice that way.

I suffer from it sometimes. Other times I thoroughly enjoy it.
