Wow, some huge armies in here, makes me feel my 30-36ish green dragon knights, and red lion knights. ans I was quite happy with their size.. Will fire up some pics of them when get home to get pictures along with the older models I have, but those are less in quantity due to rareness and cost

I've been adding the LOTR orcs with the older kingdom ones, really makes for a nice ragtag orc looking force... and makes it double easy to collect an orc type army

I finally got about 85% of my army together... i have about 6 - 10 of each faction on display in sets and i didnt want to grab them. I thought about adding my 70 pirates but thought if i did that i would do it in the pirates forum.

What i'm missing most in my collection is white lion, skeleton, scorpion, bull knights, trolls and Vikings (and bat lords though i have 4 in there) probably others im not thinking off... i really want to acquire about 20 of each of those

Give it time. I don't think people check out this post as often.

With that said, impressive armies. I really like seeing large numbers of Black Falcons. I only have a few handfuls. It's neat seeing larger numbers of forestmen and wolfpack renegades, but at the same time I picture them as smaller factions (not that Lego would be realistic). But I like seeing it nonetheless. I still need to get all of my armies set up, but it won't compete with yours. I better get on it.

That's a great army!

I love all the 1970s figs. Those are my favorite. I had three Knight's Procession sets as a kid. 18 knights. Then I lost one in the back of our station wagon during a trip to Vancouver, Canada. I still have nightmares about searching for that fig to this day.

Duce - That's an impressive castle army you have there! I am envious of your Green dragon army force! You've got more crownies and new lions than me as well, but I'm less concerned about those (although I'll have to pick up the crownies someday...)

Lawrence - You've got orcs galore! I'm not sure If I'm going to army build LoTR like I do Castle and Star Wars, but you've got a force to be reckoned with! I am envious.

Natesroom - I am impressed by your collection of older figs (black falcons/shields/wolfpack/forestmen) You have a good representation of the classic sets. Any plans for a large battle scene?

Just oggling thread after weekend and wow you have a good collecton, the older models as mentioned are in great condition it looks like. how many minis are in the pics?

Elfs - 60 minifigs still need to get the Mines, Helms Deep and awaiting the new ones in August

Dwarfs - 165 minifigures need Mines, Helms Deep, Bag End and other new ones

Bonus little bit of trivia - see if you can spot the counterfeit figure from the early 2000's that mirrored the Ling King figure
