The Baritones Day 4-A Good Man Slain...

Recommended Posts

day_04_01.jpg

Trekk, the construction worker, is a Peeping Tom. He loves to watch people through their windows. When the town decided to take matters of crime and mafia into their own hands, Trekk decided to start keeping track of who was in their home at night. He figured, eventually, if he needed to, he could help save the town from trouble if someone tried to say they were home and they really weren't. Trekk had always felt guilty about spying on his neighbors, but he had a renewed sense of self worth when he discovered his perversion could lead to some good!

day_04_02.jpg

Trekk writes down the name and whereabouts of the person he had investigated and gets into bed. Just as he's about to fall asleep, a terrible banging wakes him up.

day_04_03.jpg

Someone is hammering the front door shut!

day_04_04.jpg

Trekk sees a masked figure and cries "No! Not my winning streak!! Wait. Why did I say that? I have to stay calm and think!"

day_04_05.jpg

"I told everyone I had my suspicions." Trekk yells at the masked figure, "I wish I could've helped! How could anyone know what I was doing?? This is impossible!" The figures pours gasoline around the foundation of Trekk's house.

day_04_06.jpg

Trekk tries to escape through the window, but they have all been nailed shut. "He or she must've nailed them shut before I even got home!" Trekk yells out. Trekk takes his list of investigations and drops it out the window, hoping one of the citizens will find it in the morning...

day_04_07.jpg

The figure watches as Trekk burns to death inside his home...

day_04_08.jpg

and watches until the fire burns out completely.

day_04_09.jpg

The citizens of Moonlight find Trekk's burnt corpse among the burnt rubble of his home. Searching the remains of the house, the citizens discover that Trekk was indeed a good citizen. In the grass next to the burnt out shell of his house is a piece of paper that reads:

Night 1, Steve - home

Night 2, Ivan - not home

Night 3, Ivan - not home

Rules:

You have all been sent instructions by PM explaining who you are and what your objectives/night actions are. Read these PMs very carefully. They are very clear on what you need to do in order to win this game. Make sure you understand what it is your character needs to do in order to win. The information is there for you, make sure you understand it.

Poor Trekk, he was always a fun guy to work with. I'll miss him. :cry_sad:

Well Ivan, things are not looking good for you, going by the late Trekk's information. :sadnew: Do you have an alibi?

Tragic day! Another fellow good citizen of Moonlight is slain by the Baritones...

Damn them. I thought we scored a victory by eliminating the corrupted Mayor. It's a pity that we could not obtain any concerte evidence from his search. Now, we have another fatal among our ranks. I thought we could have a peaceful sleep last night. I was thinking last night, before I turn in. There are many events happening these few days.

To re-cap, when Neal was murdered, he was holding 2 briefcase and its video recorder. We managed to recover one briefcase from AI whom is a deceased. The other briefcase and camera is still missing... and the Mayor defintely knew Neal is a FBI, wanting to get rid of him as soon as possible. Since he is the one whom process the charges, the Mayor might knew that we might suspect him. He must have taken pre-caution and handed the evidence to somone within his league. Neal and Veronica are partners. Is there a possibilty that Veronica know something about Neal's gathering?

Next, we have evidence to show that among our citizens. There are some of us whom owned the Baritones's lots of debt. In order to clear their debt, they will have to serve their bidding by working with them. We don't know the exact number of Baritones (2 has been elminated) and the traitors. Carter has the possibility of being a traitor, since the note in Neal's briefcase reveal him to be one. Although he has served to eliminate Patty (GodFather) in the night, but we still don't know if Carter has completely cut his contact with the Baritones and not plotting against us in the dark. Therefore, I strongly suggest that we should beware Carter, especially when he voted against someone.

It's unfortunate that last night. Trekk was brutally murdered by an unknown Baritones. It seemed this person whom attack Trekk was fully prepared and was familar with Trekk's residence. What I meant is, the person whom attack him has the possibility of knowing his residence very well. Since he is able to seal all possible exits to prevent Trekk from escaping, that is one point we should take note. In addition, he mentioned a random sentence "No, not my winning streak." I had pondered this sentence for a long time... I think he must have noticed something familar... Someone whom he has work with.. This is just my initution and analysis of recent happenings...

I do wish we are able to hold it together as one, and prevent the Baritones from misleading us....

Poor poor Trekk. I suppose Ivan was off talking to "Florence's Ghost". I doubt a chef would have a gun, more knives than any of us though. Hmmmmmmmmm, yes. Indeed. Quite.

And Sky, I don't think those Baritone folk would allow me into their... Family, after I kill their leader.

Damn it, we lost another innocent! How could this happen? :hmpf_bad:

Poor Trekk, he was always a fun guy to work with. I'll miss him. :cry_sad:

Well Ivan, things are not looking good for you, going by the late Trekk's information. :sadnew: Do you have an alibi?

I'll let Ivan speak for himself first, but yes, he does indeed have an alibi, and that would be me. Anyway, Trekk has just said that Ivan was out of his house those nights. That does not mean he was up to no good. Remember, citizens have night actions as well as Baritones. I hope your not trying to suggest that my dear sisters' husband is a Baritone! I've got my eye on you...

In addition, he mentioned a random sentence "No, not my winning streak." I had pondered this sentence for a long time... I think he must have noticed something familar... Someone whom he has work with.. This is just my initution and analysis of recent happenings...

I think that was a reference to the fact that he has won the last two Mafia games.

Now, on to the serious stuff, I am particularly unhappy today. Why am I unhappy? Because some idiot whacked me on the head last night! I do not like people who walk around whacking people in the dark, it just isn't right.

*Florence´s ghost appears, and she really is pissed this time*

BETTY! *she yells with her ghostly voice, and it´s giving the shivers to everyone listening*

Yesterday you said, that "all those ghosts are freaking you out". Obviously, I wanted to help, and help I did. But this sentence of yours made me think why I would freak you out. Now I know! It is because you cannot hurt me anymore, you cannot kill me anymore, you cannot even touch me anymore. But I have the power to follow your every step, to search for evidence. You can´t go anywhere without having to fear that I am watching you.

And, my "dear" Betty, you were damn right to be afraid of me!

Citizens of Moonlight! Listen to me! You cannot kill the Hydra by chopping off the head as another will grow instantly! Patty, the former Godfather was killed. But another godfather has risen. And she already confessed it when working on this "Moonlight Travel Brouchure". "Come to Moonlight. No police, No laws, All Fun!" She tried to conseal it as being sarcastic, but in fact she spoke what she really thought. And why? Because I found out that...

Betty is the new godfather of the Baritones!

While I am still visible, I have to say more.

I am sad for Trekk being killed, but happy for this piece of paper you found. Ivan, my dear husband, the evidence is pointing against you. If you have anythig to do with the Baritones, you´d better speak up and confess. I will find out the truth anyway, and it´s better to confess your sins and meet me in heaven than to stick to dirty lies, having your cover blown, being killed by an angry mob and burn in hell!

Well Ivan, things are not looking good for you, going by the late Trekk's information. :sadnew: Do you have an alibi?

Actually, I do, as Darlene can confirm. You will notice that nights 2 and 3 I was out. I am out every night since my Florence's death, looking for killer. I had always been stay-at-home type, sleeping in night but that change after first night, suddenly I have purpose in going out, and out I go. I will not make specifics of what I am doing, for that would be too much informations, but it is a good purpose, I am assuring you.

So yeah, Ivan, you sweatin' like a pregnant nun yet? What's yo' deal?

Asked and answered above, no sweating here. On the other hand, I might ask you a question to making the sweatings, but I don't think it necessary right now. I will say that the peoples who are not home at night should not be pointings the fingers at me without knowing that when they do, 3 more are points back at them.

I suppose Ivan was off talking to "Florence's Ghost".

No, sadly I am only seeing her when you do, but she has given me purpose in life and for that I am the thankful.

I'll let Ivan speak for himself first, but yes, he does indeed have an alibi, and that would be me.

That is the truth. I am not giving away more, Baritones are watching us.

BETTY! *she yells with her ghostly voice, and it´s giving the shivers to everyone listening*

Betty is the new godfather of the Baritones!

You seem certain again. You will always have my vote.

Vote: Betty / Bob the Construction Man

I am sad for Trekk being killed, but happy for this piece of paper you found. Ivan, my dear husband, the evidence is pointing against you.[/color]

And you would have been on piece of paper if he watched you on first night while I was sleeping, not knowing what you were doing. I have reason to be out, reason is you. I cannot explain more, safely, any more than you could tell me what you were doing.

You know I am good, check anything you wish, but most of all, checking your heart.

There is much to ponder here. First up we have an arsonist on a rampage ( well two days worth is a rampage I guess?!) It seems like this killer is helping the plot device workers clear land to build Casinos etc for the Baritones! As well as bumping off good citizens and traitors who dont pay their debts  I find it strange that the arson attacks only started once Darlene arrived in town, and im sure she realized this too and decided to tell us that she was bonked on the head :oh3:

Though the note from poor Trekk (no winning streak for you) might also point to 3 fingered Ivan as the masked pyromaniac/vigilante as he was out both nights (possibly torching poor people)

Well it looks like we might be in Florences debt again! Where does she get her information from? :look: Flo has decided to, I assume haunting characters, to find out their motives. She has delivered already in the Mayor and now asks us to go after Betty as well.

I still have trouble trusting anyone in this town at the moment, what with my Al torched before we could even get a relationship started and all the other murders Im just not sure who to vote for. Though Betty is firming very quickly at the top of my list with Ivan and then Darleen to do some "splainin"

Has anyone found my pants yet, I need to match up my nail polish?

So just because a ghost is right the first time means that the ghost is right the second time? How do you know that Florence's ghost is just making wild stabs into t find out who is guilty or not. Theres people that dont post here that often. Couldn't it be them? Wouldn't you think that Ivan and Florence's ghost are working together. Couldn't it be that Florence is hiding secrets about Ivan because they love each other?

When I made the travel brouchure, it was a joke because I was trying to help the cities economy.

Where has Ivan been the past two nights? Why did Florence say this:

Ivan, my dear husband, the evidence is pointing against you. If you have anythig to do with the Baritones, you´d better speak up and confess. I will find out the truth anyway, and it´s better to confess your sins and meet me in heaven than to stick to dirty lies, having your cover blown, being killed by an angry mob and burn in hell!

Notice how she incriminates Ivan as she dissapears instead of doing that when she can still talk normally. Wonder why? Because the two of them are working together. Florence was the bodyguard, and Ivan worked to do other evil things during the night. "Looking to catch a killer, hah"

Therefore I will vote: Ivan/ImperialShadows

Now Iris, I like you, but when you make crazy accusations like that, I really cannot do anything but wonder what your motives are. I don't suppose you owe the Baritones any money?

Now, to address what you have said. I must stress that I am certainly no arsonist. Do these fingers look suitable to fire to you? No, I don't think so. Also, you dare to accuse me, the person who just pushed so hard to kill our so-called 'good' mayor? And after what I've been through, with the murder of my beloved sister at the hands of those bastards? You have some cheek little lady. No, I really do wonder at this sudden attack on me. Why are you suddenly so suspicious of my actions, aye? Or are you just following orders from your over-lord as to who you should vote for?

As for what you have to say about Ivan, I think it's utter rubbish. I'm sure that over half of the people here were out last night at some point or another, for their various reasons. I feel that your evidence is very weak, merely circumstantial, and it would never hold in a court of law, not even five minutes. For all we know, you could be the mysterious pyromaniac, trying to lay the blame at another's feet. You see, we cannot trust anyone. The 'evidence' you have given is poor, and I do wonder at what your true motives are for targeting my family...

Oh yeah, and it's Darlene honey.

Now, for the important bit, my vote goes to Betty. Vote: Betty (Bob the Construction Man) Family is family, but my sister has a very good case, and after she proved true yesterday, I am inclined to trust her again.

Thats exactly the 'over the top' reaction I would expect of someone who doesn't like where i'm heading with my line of questioning. You are quick to point fingers but don't like it when I point them back, and instead play the family card saying that because you are Florence's sister you must therefore be a good person as well. There are bad sheep in many families.

As for saying that you were out last night as well as Ivan and expecting me to just dismiss your actions as innocent, well not going to happen sister. I don't have any night actions, and though some people are able to investigate people at night and find out their allegiances others are up to no good, like murder and arson related murder.

Care to explain what you were up too last night, or at least trying to get up to?

Ivan, why so secretive on your night moves too? I know you are in mourning and after your wifes killer, but have you unearthed anything we can use?

At this stage I am happy to go with Flo's call and Vote: Betty, though I think we are getting somewhere now.

Another thing that just occurred to me is the handyman work done to make sure Trekk was trapped in his inferno. Perhaps some of his work mates could explain the best way to nail windows shut?

Ah Iris, your logic is just so flawed. Yes I am quick to point fingers. And have I not been right every time so far? I got the mayor did I not? Or did that slip your mind? I see you did not answer any of my questions... suspicious... and not to mention hypocritical...

As for over the top reactions, what more could you expect from me? I am well known for them amongst the courts. The way I see it, the sooner a person answers any questions but to her, the sooner the truth of the matter can be revealed, and that is why I am quite happy to answer peoples questions.

Now, as to last night, you must understand that I am reluctant to discuss this in public, since the Baritones are listening. For all I know, you could be a Baritone yourself, trying to weasel information from me. However, I understand your concerns, and so I shall tell you, and damn any Baritone that tries to make use of it!

Last night, I attempted to protect Tom (Trexxen). I had no idea that he would be attacked, but I had a feeling, and so I went with it. Unfortunately, it appears some bastard was waiting for me and I was prevented from doing my duty, as this large lump on my head testifies. I do however have a suspicion of who caused the fire, but until I have further information, mum's the word unfortunately.

Now all this is very nice, but I would appreciate you answering a few of my questions Iris, since I have so willingly answered yours. After that, perhaps we should leave our petty squabbling and put our efforts into finding some real Baritones, aye? We got the mayor yesterday, and I think we have now got Betty, but there must still be a few more. It would be good if we could work together as a team, Iris. You are good with interrogation, but until we can trust each other a little more, I fear we are going to have a lot of difficulty smoking out the last couple of Baritones. I just hope we can unite against them soon, before it is to late...

Working together? Of courses we working together, but she ghost and not able to know all that going on in earthly plane.

You, however, are as dumb as you advertisings. We are already knowing with proof, that Florence was a loyal citizen of Moonlight. All you are accusationing me of is being the same. You sniff too much photocopies in tax business, or maybe have debt to pay Baritones from bad streak at track after embezzling from customers? We will finding out soon, I am betting! HAHA, get it? Betting! You like the betting, don't you? Want to put odds on who is traitor, you or me? You will be losing, like always.

Personally, I welcome investigation and am not hurt by Florence's words. She is smart woman and knows that people are not always as seem. I am glad she not blinded to possibilities, even ones that would be horrible. I have nothing to hide and would be happy for anyone to watching me, investigating me, making sure of my loyals. Many of you could not say that. Remember: eyes go both ways, while you watching me, someone watching you. Well, not you specifically, Betty, since I expect smart townfolk to see that your cowardly Baritone cooperation come to end today.

Iris: I am secretive of night moves because I am smart. I am not giving Baritones any more information than absolutely necessary. I suspect they have ways to counter such things and that will not help the good citizens of Moonlight. Sometimes secrecy is for good reason, and this is one of those times.

That's it, I'm tired of these nose squabling Baritones. I want to see them. How could anyone hurt Trex? It might have been one of his fellow workers...They were the ones that have access to any tools if (I scream clone) is right about the nailed windows. My vote is Betty. I'm so sorry, but I just can't trust you right now, friend.

... with a hammer? Since the house burnt down, I don't have a way to know how the murderer did it.

There's lots of interesting things being pointed out, but at the moment I think we would be foolish not to listen to Florence.

I still don't know who could have done this. Everyone says Betty, which could be true, just not certain. I am starrting to get this old noggin' rollin' and I thought about the whole burning down houses thing. Yes, Betty is the Godfather, but I don't think she would have done this herself. I'm thinking it was someone who thinks outside the box, or draws off the page. There's something about watching, a house burn down that seems a little suspicious. Sure there are reasons, maybe the arsonist wanted to make sure Trekk (god rest his soul) was dead. Or maybe, the arsonist was getting inspiration... for a painting.

Though Betty is popular with the votes, I don't see enough evidence. I will need some time...

Holy ....! Stan! In the middle of the day, too. :oh3: Does anyone have more information about this?

I'm feeling pretty certain that Pete the Garbage Man/Pencoin is a member of the mafia. He is obviously choosing not to believe in what Florence says even after she handed over a member of the Baritones to us. He is also following the lead of Betty, who we've been told is the Godfather. I think we should definitely think about voting him out next round.

Hahahaha you're kidding right? I will explain my reasoning.

Mafia wants to dispose of the Mayor for what ever reason

Mafia comes up with brilliant plan to do this and kill an inoccent

They make a projection of one who had just deceased by using video footage from her husband and recycled sound clips that instruct people to vote to certain people. The mayor found this out so was trying to save himself.

Vote for me if you an idiot.

Reading what Stans last words were, I guess the Baritones are gonna kill whoever says anything bad about them.
