The Cobra Posted September 11, 2008 (edited) For all those people whose favourite colours are black and blue (that of course includes us fans of Internazionale F.C.), here's your Tiny Turbo! Set data: 8151: Adrift sport Year: 2008 Theme: Racers Subtheme: Tiny Turbos Pieces: 52 (no extra) Price: 5 USD / 5 EUR / 3 UKP Building time: less than 10 minutes MISB on review: Yes More info: Brickset - Peeron Box front: classic TT box, not much to say. Box rear: combine it with 8148 for an alternate "supermodel". Box content: 1 bag, instructions and stickers. Sticker detail: it's hard to tell from here, but these are mirror stickers! Instructions: first half of the supermodel instructions to be found in 8148. Pieces: in 2008, Tiny turbos include "glow in the dark" elements. And they do glow! Building: it's obviously easy with such few pieces. M.I.P. (Most interesting Piece): courtesy of Peeron, 'Plate 1 x 2 with Racer Grille 4 x 1 x 2/3' Splitting the model: car base, and 3 big parts. Sticker effect: flash reflection on paper The model: two shots for complete view. Review and rating: Small / cheap sets always are my favs. Tiny Turbos are generally nice, adding Glow in the dark pieces is a great way to get more interest. And I guess many fans of the old faithful 4-wide vehicles are into TTs. One will hardly buy these sets for building fun alone, but their playability (and displabilty) are surely worth the money. I told you, I like these colours, but I Like the shape also; good detailing, obviously thanks to stickers too. And, it's not difficult to find a TT 0,5 or 1 Euro cheaper than RRP. In its category, to me it's 5/5. Edited May 23, 2009 by WhiteFang Indexed
