Naturally, the next step in the progression of my Fabuland madness is this Fabuland Metallica MOC:

What's this??

metallica_08.jpg

Uh-oh! Looks like one of their roadies didn't realize he was standing in a puddle of water when fixing a live wire!

 I think I need psychological help :cry_sad:

Here is the full gallery. Enjoy and please feel free to leave feedback. Thanks! :classic:

Wow! That is what I called a real "Metal Rock"!

Looking at your MOC, it seemed that this Fabuland figures are rocking and screaming in front of me with their songs. It looked just like a rock concert. Geez, I need help! They are moving in front of my screen.

Great job, Hinckley!

Wow, i always love these band bignettes.

You not only made one of m favourite bands, but that must be the best drumkit i have ever seen!

You do not need psychological help, stuf like that happenend constantly during Metallica shows.

In the beginning their nickname was Alcoholica, remember the guy standing on the flamethrowing bus?

!

I´ve heard about that band, are they any good ?

Excellent MOC there Hinckley - that one goes to BW2009!

You´ve really nailed the feeling of a band on stage and especially James Hetfield:

It´s scary how they resemble eachother!

Now like Lt. Col. Thok said, we need groupies - any one comes to mind?

That really made me chuckle especially as 'nothing else matters' was playing on the radio at the time!

I always thought James Hetfield looked like a goat but Lars' resembelance to the bulldog is uncanny!!

The only thing I'll suggest is giving James the goat his ESP guitar.

Rock ON!

Yes, of course. Here she is now:

Good point Gary:

It's the best I could do...

Here's the band again, James with his ESP and the groupie watching:

Then the groupie gets a "backstage tour:"

metallica_14.jpg

And Fabuland again. What's next? Star Trek?

Ew, gross, no, of course not. I'm not completely mental. *huh*

Madness. Pure metal madness.

Love the drums, easily my favourite part. The character selection is perfectly suited to the band. The stage is exactly what you'd expect, which means it's just right.

Can't really ask for anything more here, though I'm fairly sure they'll sue you for some kind of royalties. I've heard they're like that.

Uh-oh! Looks like one of their roadies didn't realize he was standing in a puddle of water when fixing a live wire!

Metallica alone wasn't quite enough Fabuland Edge, you needed to add electrocution. Nice job!

Then the groupie gets a "backstage tour:"

Grope-ee. A nice touch. Get it? ... nevermind. :sceptic: She looks so sweet and innocent... for now.

A definite winner and a fine example of double-Edge'd Fabuland. :sweet:

Oh, and I'll index this AS SOON AS I CAN.

Purely excellent. How did you do those drum sticks ?

One minor improvment would be to work on the left guitar. No idea how though, making lego guitars is a nightmare in general.

i must agree with several of the above posts - you have captured the character and look of the band splendidly!!

And i really like the overall stage design and pyro effects a great deal.

Awesome MOC!!

Need...one... No wait, two, they're supposed to go by pair  What was the use of them in fabuland sets though ? Was there a fabuland drum of some sort ?

Opps, after a quicksearch, found it !

That's crazy... I like it very much. My only complaint is that you might've chosen a better band.

Possibly the best fabuland moc so far. The drum kit is real cool as is the roadie and his control desk.

Bet they would sound a lot better than the real thing too......

My Lord. This is amazing. A truly wonderful job you've done here, Hinckley! I love the drumkit, and the anthropomorphism... um... well, actually I just wanted to use that word. Lets just say the minifigs fit the people perfectly, it's easier that way.:thumbup:

So, what band's next?

Pun, metaphor, so what, I made a mistake. :hmpf_bad:

I was making a joke, actually, and I jumped the punchline. I should've said "Pun? How is that a pun?" like it wasn't meant to have any double meaning and make people thing James the Goat was just showing his roadie around backstage. But then after someone said "It looks like he's doing her..." Then I should've said "Yes, but that's not a pun, it's a metaphor."

That's our comedy lesson for the day... :classic:

I love how you've done the guitars and the Drum kit, they look awesome! :classic:
