I actually spotted one of the old ski/skid parts out on a street yesterday! It was quite roughed up, but very close to a driveway full of scooters and toys, so I left it alone as it would certainly belong to someone in the house. 

Am I too terminally online, to have thought about this thread as soon as I saw it? :grin:

I've found a few odd parts over the years (a blue 2x2 tile, an incredibly scuffed-up Castle wall piece, inexplicably once one of these despite my never owning any set it came in and there not being any other children in my area when I was growing up)

The highlight was probably finding 7121 almost complete (including the box and instructions, missing only the minifigures and about three bricks) on the side of the road in about 2009.
