Presenting my Lovely ADVENTURERS JUNGLE Collection (UPDATED PHOTOS )

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone :pir-triumph:

I want to present you my most precious thing in my life. Adventurer Jungle !

I waited my 5956 order from Bricklink to open this thread for around 40 days. 5986 and 5976 are owned since I was a kid in 1999. Luckly my dad kept them in vacuum sealed box for 25 year <3

*in the photo we see, our adventurers arrived at Gabarro's village ( Moc )  to rent the Gabarro's expert sailing skills to help them navigate  in deep into jungle.

Here is my updated full Diorama :pir-love:

Nice! I love Adventurers! Your dad was wise to keep 5986 for so long. It's so hard to find these days, especially in Europe.

That airship is in beautiful condition! All my childhood LEGO is parted out into my collection, it is great to see such a nice display.

Yeah I feel lucky to have such a dad which cares my childhood legos. If it wasnt for him, all of my sets ( Full Rock Raiders + Almost all Orient expedition sets ) would be lost.

Thank you sir <3 I overpayed a littlebit ( 110usd for Zeppelin mold only ) I plan to present my full Orient Expedition set aswell :P

Turns out I was huge Adventurer fan without knowing it when i was around age 6 to 10. I remember playing them and doing stop motion with old trusty sony-ericsson phone:pir_tong2:

Fantastic work! The airship especially looks good floating overhead.

What are those two prints you have with your display? Are they from magazines? I always liked the picture with Johnny and Achu.

The one with Achu is taken from web.Went into a local printer shop and they PS'ed it and printed to a photoblock ( used large scale machine for advertisement companies, banners etc )

The backdrop is from a precious lego youtuber named > The Brick Perfectionist ( This is hand drawn exclusive backdrop ) ( AFAIK he will sell those later in future )

Here is the RAW file for Achu ( beware large file ) ACHU

Oh my! Lucky you to have all these sets. I tried to buy some new boxed copies of the Egyptians sets recently but they were so expensive. I always remember seeing a Lego magazine with the Adventurers in some jungle ruins with lots of monkeys (the ones first released with Pirates in the late 80's). However, I don't remember any of the jungle sets containing any monkeys and can't see any in your sets.

Hello :pir-thumb:
The monkey is in default position by 5976 instructions as she is climbing palm tree.

If you like lego adventurers maganizes, here is a treat for you ! >> https://archive.org/details/LEGOManiaUS-JanuaryFebruary1999-Miniland/page/n1/mode/2up

My parents start buying me brand new lego's in age 6. Since Desert is 1998, they didnt consider buying anything probably. So I missed entire line-up of Desert :wall: ( found one set 3021 mummy and cart but adv02 pharoah minifig is missing )

Ah - I thought there must have been a monkey somewhere!

Thanks for the link to the magazine.

I regret not buying the Desert sets when I had the chance, but I didn't really have much money then!

Hello everyone again :pir-blush:

I updated my Diorama and its almost finished ( 5925-5936 sets needed for final )

I did necessary upgrades to 5986. Bunch of scenery pieces an important detail to inside of temple ( mayan logo ) , and some stickers from 77015

I hope you are enjoying this lovely diorama

Looking good! I love how you've connected them all by constructing a river that is a part of the raised baseplate and also some of the mocs and modifications.

Incredible! I look forward to having more of the Jungle/Desert Adventurers, as I only have Orient Expedition stuff. I dread the day when I get that blimp, it's ridiculously expensive! I like the way you've connected the builds with water, and that the water has a feeling of depth: well done.

@StreaMRoLLeRThat's a nice collection and a great presentation.

Just a question to the second photo: Where is that gray brick with the statue printed on (or a sticker?) in the background of the entrance from?

(I have rebricked set 5986 but still need to get that raised baseplate - it's soooooo expensive.)

Hello

Thanks for your warm wishes

The aztec brick you see is from 77015. I ordered new sheet of sticker just for this purpose. Its purpose to give depth feeling and some activity there

@StreaMRoLLeR Thanks! And that's quite funny as I have set 77015 and I have built it. But I haven't applied the stickers so I wasen't aware of this motive.

For the same reason (to fill this space) I used this printed brick:

See here (as said earlier I have rebricked set 5986 and I haven't its raised baseplate):

Well spotted! Yes, I somehow like this weird baseplate/large brick.
