That's crazy! I built a Bugatti Chiron on Unimog tires one time, and I think that only came out to 1:7! What kind of wheels are they using on 1:6?

They were a little bigger than the 42143 rims (ferrari daytona sp3).

I'm kinda sad that the next hypercar wont have a mechanical folding roof or 4WD since it's a McLaren P1.

Pic of the set is out guys! Found it on FB. I am sure it's pretty much everywhere else now. Liked the set on the box a bit more than its pic itself! :pir-tongue:

PS: it's orange with strong black accent

You mean this?Screenshot_20240701-134026.jpg.73505b1a02aa4345b42e11f812c5a66a.jpgif you do, it's a scam. It looks nothing like a Lego box layout and it would've already been on yt or somewhere, possibly a new topic would have been created already. (Btw this is a part of a brick clicker thumbnail) Similar situations occured with 42177 and 42146.

It's the dedicated topic thread for P1. No, it does not look like that

Well there are parallelogram panels in bright light orange in the front, and I dont think AI can generate that.

I'm not convinced by the box and it looks more like it uses 13 long mudguards, used in 42126, rather than the 15 long ones, like in 42115 or 42143.

The front mudguard looks more like the chopped one in the front of the Daytona.

Then there's this part in front of it:

Let me see...

80284 13x2x5 arched mudguard(rear)

67141 15x2x5 arched mudguard(front)

64680&64394 #13, #14 7x5x2 tapered panel

80268&80267 5 x 7 Parallelogram left&right

68196&67142 5x13x2 curved triangle panel

64393&64681 #5, #6 11x3x2 tapered panel

5426&4527 3x13x2 curved triangle panel

32525 liftarm 11

40490 liftarm 9

In bright light orange

And new wheel(tire looks same with SP3)

It appears that there are other new bright light orange parts (especially lot of connector on rear wing), but it will only be accurate if high-resolution photos are released. With the current image quality, the brake disc also appears to be a new, slightly larger part to my eyes.

Also, one thing I'm curious about is what the actual car of this model will look like. Because it appears that McLaren is trying to unveil the actual car in line with the official unveiling of the Lego model.

You’d be surprised what AI can do nowadays.

Anyways, I am pretty sure it’s real. It’s the overal composition that looks weird.

Wow..so it's indeed bright light yellow. Maybe the Mercedes will be purple/teal?

From this one pic it doesn't look bad. But sharper and more photos will decide its fate.. :D

I think the Mercedes will be either black or blue according to common color schemes of that vehicle, but I'm digressing.

I will wait for better photos to be sure but at this stage, it might just be my first set of this size and type.

I was hoping for purple or another color. But I am not surprised they used this version of orange.

Yeah, vibrant orange would be lovely, to go together with vibrant yellow from two years ago.

Surely it's very incongruous to base it on a 10+ yr old car, when every other ultimate 1:8 set was based on a bang up to date model!? Can't decide what to make of this...

I’m not convinced by the photo as it looks like the old P1. Still think it’ll be based off the new P18 (internal project code) car just renamed at launch. As others have said the UCS car is normally released close to an actual car release, not from something that’s been on the roads for lots of years.

Orange is an obvious choice due to McLarens history
