"And they will join you in the Sun"

IMG_2951.jpg

My entry here is from the DC theme. In it, Batman tries brooding on the beach by his Bat-sand castle (made out of black sand he brought to the beach himself of course), with Superman trying to get him to come out of the shade of his umbrella into the sun to hang out with him and the rest of the league.

Karma!

On summer vacation by the sea, Anna and Elsa discover the shimmering underwater world teeming with life... But in their enthusiasm, haven't they forgotten someone slowly melting on the beach? ... Awwww, nice teeth Mister Sharkie!

It's summer, and Steven has finally gotten a break from his work at the museum. Due to his passion for Egyptology, he has purchased the Lego Great Pyramid of Giza set, eager to spend a relaxing afternoon assembling the iconic structure.

However, Marc seems to have taken over their body and decided to build it himself. If you're wondering why he’s wearing the ceremonial armor from Khonshu's temple, let’s just say he’s had a few unpleasant experiences stepping on Lego bricks. The question now is whether Marc will have the courtesy to unbuild the pyramid to give Steven the chance to enjoy the building experience himself.

Davy Jones on the Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Ride

53776657553_880f16e721_z.jpg

What better way to spend a summer weekend than to visit The Happiest Place On Earth? After more than a year at sea, the abominable Davy Jones and his sinister first mate Maccus opted for a much deserved break; and spent most of their booty while they were at it.

The spider-verse unites for a summer holiday fishing and catching crabs.

Entered on behalf of my 8-year-old.

My kid had asked me to post this early in the week but I was busy. I now see there is another entrant with an underwater component to their build also (which looks great by the way). I hope it is ok, as this was built without any awareness of the other entrant’s submission.

That's not showing up and your account is private so I can't see it on IG either. Is it intended to be an entry?

Beleriand Beach

53778083926_e723eb503f_z.jpgBeleriand Beach by Grant Decker, on Flickr

Legolas and Gimli are spending their summer on the beaches along the Bay of Balar in the northwest part of Middle-Earth known as Beleriand. It seems like Gimli is one of those people who like to dig huge holes when they go to the beach (of course!), and Legolas is out surfing the waves (this must be where he learned that shield trick at Helm's Deep!).
I built it on a 10x10 base, and the wave overhangs out the back 1.5 studs, which when added to the 0.5 studs added to the front due to the bone and coin, makes the whole thing fit within a 12x12 area.
I had a lot of fun building this, as it is somewhat different than my usual style. I experimented with texture and resolved to have as few studs as possible showing. When building the cross section of a beach, I had lots of opportunities to hide bits and pieces of things buried over the years, and in building the wave I was able to experiment with some water techniques using the tiles I added onto my last LEGO purchase to get it up to free shipping. And the small size of it all means that I actually finished it before the deadline!

I had to compress the image a lot in order to upload here (0.1MB is rally small!) so it is a bit grainy, but You can also see the build on Flickr here

Thanks for checking it out,

Everyone knows that there's no summertime activity like playing poohsticks!  (Unless you're Eeyore, in which case being a poohstick...)

I went in a bit of a different direction to everyone else. The summer climate, when it's cool, is great for excursions. Especially for visiting tropical islands...tropical islands with living biological attractions so astounding, they would capture the imagination of the entire planet! In the summer of June 1993, a group of tourists, led by a billionaire investor, went on such a summer excursion to such an island. And as they were whisked through on their safari on their iconic Jeep Wrangler (btw mods this is what I want to be judged on. The Jeep Wrangler and the minifigures around it. The stuff in the background is contextual set dressing, because I needed dinosaurs on my dinosaur tour), they were invited to look back to a land time forgot.

"Welcome, to Jurassic Park!"

Here's my entry - Meat's back on the menu, boys!

53779619995_88bcb47e08_k.jpgMeat's back on the menu, boys!

Amidst allegations of only offering maggoty bread for his employees, Saruman sponsored a lovely barbecue on the beach. To make it even better, everyone's invited!

Entry for 6-year-old M.
Built with parent assistance (I built the pool and water. Concept and rest of build by M.)

Disney Summer Party. Asha and Elsa party a bit too hard in the rooftop pool and flood the ground floor; turning a poor, unsuspecting Aerial back into her mermaid form.

Hello there !

I joined Eurobricks for this contest, thanks for the organisation. Without more waiting, my entry. (Sorry for the image quality, the size limit forced me to compress it a lot.)

It is market day in Meridian. But because it is vacation, it won't be a new weapon for Aloy. This time... it will be cosmetics :)

On her journey into the West, Aloy stumbled across some ruins of the old ones on the beachside. After a quick salvage and repair, she now has a blaze-powered grill ready for some BBQ!

Well deserved, winners! This was so much fun to be a part of. As many others have pointed out, it was hard picking just 3 to vote for.

Garmadon, how are those 1x4 planks attached on your build? Especially the ones going sideways?

It was a great and fun contest, thanks to Eurobricks for hosting it!

As many have said, there were many great entries, and I would have struggled to pick three if I could have voted. @BardDandelion, thanks, yours is great too ;)

Thanks to all who voted. I feel so glad you liked my model :)
