Hewman Posted July 22, 2008 But think of all the money you'll save on shipping by not buying the entire set for around the same price Also this comes with the never seen before minifig of "Ogi-Wan Kemobi", I wouldn't be trusting this person to spell my address correctly if i was stupid enough to buy off them. Zzz Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) It is a bit harsh to speak about "business as usual", but that's it, nothing else. We had it with the castle minifigs and the Indiana Jones minifigs in the last time. Always SW in the past, Batman also. Minifigs most often, sometimes sets. But it was always like this, some people from shops, fairs or whatever. I don't care. The only thing disturbing is that he or she is selling "Ogi-Wan Kemobi". Guess we have a HUGE Star Wars fan here. EDIT: The set is already available in the US, didn't know. So you are talking about the price I asume. Well, someone is going to pay it anyway. Or not perhaps. Cardinal Brick Posted July 22, 2008 I have to ask what's horrible about it the spelling or the price? If people want to pay that much that#s there own affair
Svelte Posted July 22, 2008 I'd wait and see if they sell before being too morally outraged. That said, some CW figs are around $US15 at the moment on ebay. I am often amazed at the high value placed on figs, but if that's what people are willing to pay, good on them. Some people are interested only in figs and not the sets - each to their own. I personally don't like the CW figs at all but wouldn't mind multiple RGS or AT-TE - if I can sell figs myself to subsidise the extras or buy the big vehicles themselves at a reduced rate, then that's what I'll do. I don't need multiple Obi-Wans or Anakins or whatever, so why shouldn't I sell them off? Once these are officially released in all of four or five days prices will drop anyway. Fatespuppet Posted July 25, 2008 Well, as the old saying goes "folos and ther money are sun prated". I for one plan to attend the midnight madness event at my local TRU tomorrow night and scoop up a gunship or two. I gave up on ebay many moons ago.
Skipper 24 Posted July 25, 2008 The guy who's selling must be stupid. The sets coming out tomorrow, and the figs are like the same price as the set inc shipping.
Section8 Posted July 25, 2008 Someone did buy those at the buy it now price.
Lt. Col. Thok Posted July 25, 2008 Someone did buy those at the buy it now price. ...of $94. You would have to be NUTS to have bought at any other price (higher, that is).
Donut Posted July 25, 2008 I find it more disturbing that this seller managed to get his/her hands on more than one copy of this set. Take a look at the listings.
trooperdavinfelth Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) As always, I say people can do whatever they want. The seller(s) can sell whatever they want however high they want. The buyer(s), like you, can choose not to buy it. The buyer(s), like the one who bought it, can buy whatever they want and spend however much they want. Another one that astounded me was the amount of visitors on this Commander Cody figure also on eBay: If this doesen't tell you how darn popular and searched for these figs and sets are, I don't know what will. The guy who's selling must be stupid. The sets coming out tomorrow, and the figs are like the same price as the set inc shipping. Actually, he's a genius. People don't WANT to wait. They want things NOW. He knows these aren't out in half of the world so he sells them now. He's taking a risk for sure, but he must think it's worth it because there are crazy people out there who will do anything to get cool stuff for their kids. miniflea Posted July 26, 2008 (edited) Looks like I'm the first guy to list the figs on bricklink. Now, before you jump down my throat at the price, I don't actually expect them to sell, but after seeing that ebay auction, who knows. Might get lucky. Here's the link to them in my store ... or not. If I'm not supposed to post it, then I apologize. Edited July 26, 2008 by ImperialShadows Advertising is frowned upon from Vassals. You can put a link to your Bricklink store in your sig though, if you'd like. No harm done.

Shoc Posted July 27, 2008 A bidder might as well buy the actual set/s the figures come in for a bit more money... Well, as the old saying goes "folos and ther money are sun prated". That 'old saying' is very unfamiliar to me... :skull:
Fatespuppet Posted July 27, 2008 A bidder might as well buy the actual set/s the figures come in for a bit more money... That 'old saying' is very unfamiliar to me... :skull: The sad part is that it took longer to type then if I'd spelled it correctly. Things are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay and it's easily possible that someone with more money then sense wanted only the figures and not the accompanying legos. What I really hope happens is that later in the Clone Wars run(considering the show is supposed to run for 4 years or so) we'll see cheaper sets with all these figures.
