TheMaskedMan00 Posted January 15 (edited) I think LEGO is pretty cool. However I did not join this forum for legos. I joined this forum because there is a member on this forum who is still active to this day, whom with I wish to speak to. The member in question, long ago, used to create tools for a game called RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. While scouring the internet for tools for the game; a lot of tools made by said member appeared. There was a readme file in almost every program/tool made by the user, that explained how to use it and how to contact them for information regarding file structure of the games data files. However all the contact information was either dead forum links or services that don’t exist anymore (AOL for example) In a desperate last attempt I searched the AOL address in google and it brought me here, I think I have finally found the person I was looking for. More In next post: Now you might be asking, “Why are you going to these lengths just to find some random person who supposedly created tools for some game long ago?”. Here’s why: Im working on a sort of personal project, in where I take the assets from a bunch of games I played as a kid, and make a little digital diorama (kinda like a Lego set I guess haha) out of them. I had this crazy idea for a while (since 2020) but after recently seeing some crazy world in a virtual reality game, it brought back old memories and I was inspired to boot up my old Mac and find the files i exported back in 2020, and get to work trying to get the rest. However, one game in particular was giving me and my coding friend some trouble (Yes it was rollercoaster tycoon 3). I had tried exporting the game in the past however I didn’t get very far. The only thing I had was a model and texture viewer made by the member in question back in 2011. That program brought me here because of the readme file I mentioned in the post above. My hope is that if this guy I’m looking for still remembers these programs he wrote, he could offer some insight on exporting assets from the game. And then I will be one step closer to finishing my digital diorama. oh also I should have told you who the member In question is, @jonwil is the member in question Edited January 15 by TheMaskedMan00 Fixed
