Yes!! Finally! :excited: We’ll be eating good in 2025!

My guesses:

Hagrids Motorcycle: between EUR 15 and 20, brickbuilt bike with Hagrid and baby Harry (the Friends baby from the Lily Potter CMF with or without gold print). No other figs.

Malfoy Manor: at least 1000 parts and at least EUR 140 and LEGO exclusive (like Grimmauld Place and the new Durmstrang ship), no more than 8-9 figs certainly including the Trio and Draco. Almost certainly Narcissa and Ollivander as well but not Dobby.

Flying Lesson: Harry, Draco, Neville, possibly Hooch. I think it might also include a part of the new modular Hogwarts, like the Owlery and Boathouse and like the last Flying Lesson. In which case it's likely at least EUR 40 (and probably does include Hooch).

Charms Class: at least EUR 40, fits into the new modular Hogwarts the way the Potions Class does.

You very likely just jynxed it :laugh_hard: There are still 3 unknown sets in this wave!

My guesses for those, then:

Buildable crap

Buildable crap

Buildable WTF-were-they-thinking type of crap (i.e. Sorting Hat or HP Logo to hang on your wall)

Doubtful. Large sets like that have so far been limited to 2HY waves and I don‘t think they just change that out of the blue. Of course there’s nothing stopping them from doing so

Not much of a lesson without a teacher, is it  Unless they’re really mean and the set name refers to the lesson Draco wants to teach Neville :laugh_hard:

The usual place has a leak for the D&D CMF series. It includes a witch for all those who want to populate their wizarding worlds. She comes with a book, cauldron, and cat apparently.

4711 Flying Lesson only had Harry and Draco. Just saying.

But like I've said, I'm pretty sure it's an add-on to the modular Hogwarts. In which case they probably need to throw in at least four figs in order to justify the no doubt steep price.

No cat, just the book and cauldron with purple flames. But her prints are pretty impressive and she uses the witch hat and hair mold that’s only appeared in the Hocus Pocus Ideas set before (and wasn’t available in PaB), so she’s a pretty enticing addition to flesh out the crowds in a wizarding setting. I’ve wanted to add a fig wearing that hat to my display ever since the leaks of the Vidiyo development sample dropped, so I’m very tempting to grab her, as well as the sorcerer with the mini red dragon (haven’t decided whether baby Norbert needs a friend or I want to use it as first task Krum’s model Chinese Fireball).

What would Grindlewald do there? ;) I guess you meant Voldemort?

Anyways, Lucius and Draco would likely be included because it is the Malfoys Mansion, though Luna and Griphook are likely more important Storywise. Anyways, has been a while since I last saw the movies, so the memorie about the whole scene isn´t that fresh anymore.

Whoops. Meant Olivander.

Touché. Then again, that‘s essentially a polybag set before polybags were a widespread thing and from 2002 to boot  I‘d doubt they‘d release a set nowadays with a blatant omission like that.

Which makes me wonder if Flying Lesson and Charms class are two sets or actually just one? Flying on the outside, charms on the inside?

That‘d be super random though :laugh_hard: Why combine those two out of all the possible classes?

Maybe because when Harry takes off after the Rememberall, McG is the one who spots him and asks him to join the Gryffindor team? It's not a class, but making it a class would be more in keeping with the current scheme.

??? But McGonagall has no connection to Charms class though??? She doesn’t even take Harry to Charms when she fetches Wood, he’s in DADA with Quirrel.

The last Flying Lesson we got had the flying lesson held outside (obviously) with a bit of castle backdrop. I guess it could be that this time, the castle backdrop accomodates another slide-in class (like the Potions Class) that could be the Charms Class.

I've said before that just giving us swappable classrooms with nowhere to swap them to is kind of nonsensical, so it makes sense to me that if the wave includes a swappable classroom it would also include a place to put it.

That wouldn’t surprise me simply because the statue that Neville gets caught on to slow his fall is a pretty notable part of that scene and it makes sense to include a bit of wall so it can be there. That’s why I was rather fond of the 2021 version - it included the statue and you could stack the two modules so it was a decent height up. The trick here is that the current Great Hall set is up on a rocky outcrop but the lawn where the flying lesson is held is obviously level with the castle building, so it could be tricky designing something that would connect with the rest of the castle.

I'm pretty sure the place the flying lesson takes place is in the part of the castle not in the outline we have, which makes me feel like it will be similar to the Owlery.

I really wouldn’t take that vague outline in the instructions as anything concrete. From what I understand the set designers only really know what they’re actively working on for the next year with only a general idea of what’s being workshopped for beyond that - with plans changing a lot over even the year or so a set is being developed. The graphic artists putting together the images know even less.

The Owlery is a separate building, the bit of the castle the flying class is held next to is not a separate building. Therefore I’d expect at least a perfunctory show of being able to attach it to other castle sections.

I hope the Flitwick in the Charms class has the Dwalin beard again and not the cheap Santa beard like the Advent Calendar

Unrelated to the discussion but this weekend I have finally opened and built my copy of 12 Grimmauld Place, I enjoy the model and the minifigure selection is great with lots of exclusive prints, and of course Kreacher!

I just noticed that the back of the box depicts two printed news paper tiles but the set only has one, oops Lego!

I wish they had done a tie-in Advent calendar for it, it’s a bit late now to do one but I’m still hopeful we could get a OotP calendar.

Ideally containing:

Aphelios Doge

Sirius Black (ministry battle suit)

Death Eater (repeat from the Gringotts set)

Kreacher repeated to give a chance for families who can’t afford the big set.

Arthur Weasley with a bandage etc

Ron with an existing dog mould cast in trans glitter for his patronus

Another kitchen unit to fit in the empty space around the table, Christmas decorations, toy Santa etc

I think if they planned on the continuing usage of the Dwalin beard piece, they would’ve used it in the calendar as well :shrug_oh_well: Personally, I’d prefer Flitwick 2.0 for the charms class set, precisely because the other version is already available in the AC whereas this one hasn’t been in any sets in a while. I know he’s not seen teaching charms in any of the movies past CoS, but it is still Flitwick after all

I’d be willing to have another early version Flitwick if they used the set budget to finally give him his hat. The moments and AC versions don’t have it and with Boathouse McGonagall and Potions Class Snape being more detailed than ever I think Flitwick deserves the same treatment.

During some scenes in the Great Hall if memory serves me right :classic: I didn‘t think of that, could be a neat variant!

I just build my Aragog sets, and I am little bit angry with the fact, that small build of the forbidden forest, actually got the connectors other way around it supposed to have. If connect all the pieces together in the straight line, I will see the back of the forest on this small pieces.

Quite strange indeed, though shouldn´t  be that hard to change it. Anyways you would think that is is something that should be spotted in playtesting.

I got the new smaller Ollivanders and Madam Malkins on Prime Day and I have to say, whilst the Ollivanders included in the set obviously cannot beat the D2C Diagon Alley offering for detail and scale, the set does have a lot of charm. If like me, and I'm presuming a lot of people, you only have the ability to display the sets on a bookshelf etc so only the front is on show, then whilst the new set is obviously not as good a facade, the sheer fact that you can fit more buildings is a definite plus. The facade still has that magical quality and if I'd never seen the D2C then I'd be more than happy with this offering. I think the only thing I might change if to put the shops on to baseplates and put the pavement and cobbles in front of the buildings like in the D2C.

I feel it's one of two options

They used it there to extend the elements lifecycle

Or they used what remaining moulds they had left to their max on a shorter release set.

Thanks, now I found the sceene :) The bald version would have the benefit of being accurate in a classroom sceene. The hat would be neat but we have enough teachers to fill the table in the great hall.

What do you guys think? We probably wont get a new Chamber of secrets this castle, will we?

Do you expect the sets of the next wave including new classrooms the exact same size of potion class and gaps for them, so they can be swapped out? I think integrating the old chamber below the new great hall would work pretty well with the hidden door, so the balilisk can side out of the statue.
