I think it could be half and half, with half of the figures being from animated shows, with the other half being from live action shows:

If I had to guess on the potential Marvel CMF 3 for Next year:

1. Spider-Man (a suit from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

2. Jubilee

3. Kahhori (What If Season 2)

4. Morph

5. Wolverine (brown suit)

6.  Daredevil (from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

7. God Loki

8. Wonder Man

9. Ironheart

10. Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza's character from Agatha)

11. Billy Maximoff

12. O.B.aka Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan's character from Loki 2)

I think that list emphasizes why I would rather see Lego drop the live action shows altogether for the next CMF series and focus solely on the animated content. If those characters are the best Marvel has to offer I don't see them selling well at all.

Between Spider-Man, X-Men 97, Eyes of Wakanda and What If there's a much stronger selection of characters they can pull from that will have a much broader appeal.

According to exabricks, Captain America minifig in the buildable logo has his WW2 suit.

Glad to hear we're finally getting this version of Cap. Not really interested in the buildable logo but hopefully it gets reused down the line in a First Avenger set. Curious if the other characters will be new variants as well. Could be a good opportunity for an Endgame or Iron Man 2 variant of Black Widow.

Thunderbolts* I'd lean to either two or three sets, quite a few characters they can release including Winter Soldier, Ghost, U.S. Agent, Yelena, Red Guardian, Taskmaster, Sentry, Valentina and Thunderbolt Ross.

Fantastic Four I'm expecting two sets, one featuring Shalla-Bal, Big-fig Thing and Johnny Storm with the Fantasticar. The other featuring Mr Fantastic, Susan Storm, H.E.R.B.I.E.and a Galactus build.

I thought it was already confirmed Ross wasn't appearing in Thunderbolts. I'd be surprised if that film ends up getting more sets than the Fantastic Four does. It doesn't seem like the type of movie that will have much in the way of set potential beyond generic City vehicles. I don't have high hopes for Valentina getting a minifigure either after the last few MCU films excluded some of the main characters from their sets.

In addition to the Fantasticar and Galactus I think the Baxter Building could easily be on the cards. If not as the next modular building it could alternatively be done in the style of the AOU Avengers Tower as the flagship set of the wave.

I am mainly obsessed with minifigures but Thunderbolts wise I feel like I already have a lot of them. I would LOVE a Sentry minifigure but I’m concerned that Lego won’t produce the villain ala Guardians 3 or Ant-Man Q. I would also like Val and would take US Agent if his costume was changed more.

Fantastic 4 wise I need all 4 of them and Galactus.

Hopefully Doomsday and Secret Wars goes big on Lego sets and variety of minifigures.

Very excited for X-Mansion. Primarily for Gambit minifigure. Do we think more than 9 minifigures? Also do we think iceman will be solid white or transparent more ice like pieces?

Iceman looks like he might be a mix of light blue and trans pieces but its hard to tell for sure without clearer pics.

Hopefully there are a couple more characters in the mansion that we don't know about yet. The leaks for the Avengers Tower last year only mentioned around 20-25 of the characters included but there were a few extras that we didn't find out about until the official images dropped.

I’m very excited for more pics and finalised minifig list. I was hoping for transparent iceman but I wondered whether he would be completely white like in the portrait of the original 5 in Xavier’s office in xmen97.

Unless they've changed the production techniques/plastic type for Iceman its not possible for transparent minifig parts to be combined together so it'll likely be similar to the Orion figure from the recent Space CMF. Basically solid colour torso with rest transparent.

Ah so solid torso like Orion. Interesting. Cant wait for the set to see what we end up with. Sentinel was the big win for me. Hopefully a gwp as well but I’m not full of hope.

Not sure if it answers my own question above about whether we can expect more than 9 minifigures but just saw a post that said new rules for Lego ideas state “only one minifigure for every 325 parts at most” though I don’t know how hard and fast this rule is across Lego sets there’s obvious exceptions.

That must only be for ideas and bricklink designer programme submissions. Most official lego sets don't fit that ratio and would be crazy to stick to it

I think that‘s a good idea. I’d rather they limit it, as it may prevent ideas from getting rejected partially based on the number of figures. Of course we don’t know if that has ever played a role in a rejection, but it can’t be ruled out either

This obviously doesn’t affect non-Ideas sets, otherwise we could kiss battlepacks goodbye :laugh_hard:

Basically what you said, but I thought it was worth expanding on it with some LEGO comments about why Force Ghosts aren't done.

“The reason for not doing it was that the minifigures are made out of many different types of plastic, because they need to have different abilities and characteristics,” Jens explained in June 2021. “That prevented us from making all the bits from the minifigures consistently transparent. We thought it will look bad if you had a Force ghost with a solid-colour hip element and hands or whatever.”

“The other thing to think about is, if you look up underneath in the receiving end of the torso, there’s a lot of webbing that’s used to clutch on to the hips,” Michael added. “All that becomes visible to a certain extent when you make the torso transparent. And so the question is, is that going to be perceived as good quality or not?”

Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Scarlet Witch, and either Nick Fury or Bruce Banner.

Cool thanks!
Let's hope they're all alternate versions of the characters we haven't had, yet :sweet:
Assuming it's even true about Cap being a WW2 variant :innocent:

Maybe it's 'Caucasian with graying hair'-Nick Fury :oh:
Er-hem, I'll stop

There is rumor of another Iron Man Hall of Armor next year, although for a much smaller price. I wonder if it will contain a substantial number of new and unique suits.

It is rumored to have a new Igor build. As much as that sounds exciting, I hate for most of the piece count go to that.

I think i'd prefer if he was entirely the light aqua color or something- Iceman's always looked solid to me, never see-through.

I had a 2000-ish piece project rejected from submission for coming with 12 figures once, I had to lower it to... I think 8? (Though now it seems like it'd have to be even lower than that, which is absurd.)

I'm pretty sure if a project gets to 10,000 and they would accept it, but it has too many figs, they'd just... lower the number of figs. It's not like they haven't made more drastic changes to ideas sets in the past.

Hasselhoff Fury, finally. Can't wait for him and Lucasfilm's Howard the Duck to take on RDoomJ in secret wars.

If by "smaller price" you mean 55€, then yeah.

Includes four minifigures and a buildable Igor that you can fit a minifig inside of.

Definitely agree - that is, unless they were to print him on a satin/opalescent translucent colour.

KO Customs did an Iceman on a satin trans blue and the effect is great. It's cloudy enough to feel like solid ice, the normal translucent colours would just kinda end up making him look like Water-man.

Solid is totally fine, though.

I hope we get an undamaged MK 6 in the Hall of Armor and hopefully we'll get the Nano Gauntlet for Thanos in the Portals Diorama but they'll just cheap out as usual and not include it

I still don't understand why every other movie theme has no problem depicting ghosts as solid minifigures yet Star Wars is somehow dependent on the use of transparent elements in order to release them. Even if they solve the issues surrounding the torso and hip joints there will still be other challenges to deal with such as working around Yoda's rubber head mold.

It would be much easier to just forget about using transparent pieces and use light blue as a base color instead.

I wouldn't mind if they also gave Thanos a removable helmet for the Portals diorama and brought back the arm printing from 76131. We're also still missing the MK 4 Iron Man suit so I'm hoping that will be one of the new figures included.

What do you all think should/could be the Marvel D2C for next year?

Last year we knew we would get the X-Mansion in 2024, so I think since there isn't a survey for 2025 sets or anything, it will be a while till we hear what the D2C For next year will be.

Honestly, I feel like we will get a D2C $400 Helicarrier next year with like 20 minifigures.

I'm still hoping for Oscorp Tower. There are way too many Spidey characters that haven't been made into minifigures yet or ones that have been out of circulation for years now.

Same here. I also think it'd be a great looking building, and a "villain" building would be a nice change.

I still think the next modular building will come down to either the Baxter Building or Daily Planet. With Superman and Fantastic Four both set to be the two biggest superhero films of 2025 it makes sense to capitalize on the hype while they're both relevant in the public eye.

If DC does get the next modular building I do think the Helicarrier could be a realistic alternative for Marvel. Its been 10 years since the last version came out and is likely to get a remake at some point. Unfortunately I can't see it coming with a huge number of minifigures. If anything it will probably be around 5 on a display stand again.

As for Oscorp I think it will happen some day, just not next year. 2026 might be a better year for it since they potentially have the hype of a new Spider-Man movie to ride on.

Like the others said, something more Comic related like Oscorp tower would indeed be very nice, although I would also like it if they left New York for a bit and gave us a big Malibu mansion (after seeing what they did for Friends) with a definitive Hall of Armor underneath.

Ofcourse, if they stayed in New York, the Baxter building would be nice as well, but I would prefer it if they waited for the movies to be out for some time as otherwise we might end up with concept art or an outdated version (with all the multiverse shenanigans going on lately).

Or maybe go off earth entirely and give us something Asgard related, especially the royal palace and the Bifrost Bridge would be nice to get. Or maybe even some of the GoTG locations, like Knowhere with a new Collector, Cosmo, Howard etc.

Some Wakanda stuff would be nice as well.

A helicarrier like that would have to be nanoscale, that's never going to get 20 minifigures.

More like microscale, like the 2015 one  The Helicarrier currently on shelves should already be nanoscale, otherwise it‘d be picoscale :laugh_hard:

Not too sure about Oscorp as a D2C set. It may be the second-most well-known Spidey-related building, but it‘s essentially just another skyscraper. Sure, including a bunch of Spidey villains would make it recognisable as such, but I still think there are better options :shrug_oh_well:

I would love an Asgard D2C!  The set could feature the Bifrost Bridge, Yggdrasil, Odin's Vault, and the Destroyer. Minifigures would include with Thor, Loki, Odin, Heimdall, Frigga, Lady Sif, the Warriors Three, and some Thor villains; such as Malekith, Kurse, Echantress, Executioner, and Laufey.
