Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

That SDCC news was... really bad. Sounds extremely desperate and its damaged my interest in the Avengers films because they've demonstrated there's no point being invested because they'll just ditch storylines. May not have liked the Kang plotline, but they've made a lot of time wasted because it's now leading to nothing - and now we'll probably never get Kang as a figure so any legit collection is probably permanently off the table for Phase 4-6.

Galactus is somewhat comic accurate though they've given his helmet a symbol that looks like a face in concept art so that could look awkward. I imagine he'll be a large buildable figure like the 40469: Up-scaled Lego Minifigure. It's unfortunate the casting is so awkward for the Fantastic Four that I'm only interested in getting Galactus as opposed to the rest of them.

new hall of armors set for next year, 4 figures and a new Igor build that can fit a figure inside

It is interesting how we keep getting it, but it makes sense, as it’s a good way to release more Iron Man suits. Unless, of course, they want to make a new Iron Man 3 set, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

I'd guess it'll have Tony Stark to fit in the Igor suit and Iron Man MK42 because it's inspired by Iron Man 3. Other two figures could be interesting but not gonna hold out much hope as it'd be easy enough for them to recycle other versions of the suits or update the older suits with the new helmet piece.

If we are lucky this is a precursor to them doing a Iron Man 3 Final Battle set featuring: Tony Stark, Iron Man MK16, Iron Man MK40, Iron Man MK42, War Machine, Iron Patriot, Aldrich Killian, Pepper Potts and an Extremis soldier. Though mostly I just want a Malibu Mansion set so I can display the core suits, as it was an iconic set piece of the trilogy.

Finally intrigued by the rumour of the endgame battle with portals and a new iron spider minifigure as I always felt the mcu iron spider figure was lacking legs and head wise.

I'd expect them to do the Titan Battle from Infinity War, especially if one of the core figures is an updated Spider-man. The figure selection including Mantis and Nebula would pair well with 76286 : The Milano Spaceship.

  1. Big Fig Thanos
  2. Iron Man
  3. Spider-man
  4. Doctor Strange
  5. Starlord
  6. Mantis
  7. Drax the Destroyer
  8. Nebula

Very strange thing to bring up, but has anyone mentioned that in the Fortnite Deadpool and Wolverine collab, Wolverine got a Lego variant whereas Deadpool did not? That feels like a pretty definitive piece of evidence that Lego isn’t willing to do a Deadpool, since this conversation seems to still be going—I haven’t been too religiously reading the forum, so I can’t speak on what’s going on.

Yeah, the Deadpool conservation get picked up every few weeks still. Right now though, it’s all Doom and gloom.

SDCC time!

RDJ as Doctor Doom seems like a desperate attempt upon first hearing. I wish they got a different actor for Doom and didn’t use him so quickly. Nevertheless, here we are, and there’s nothing to do other than voice our opinion.

Thinking positively, at least RDJ gets one last hurray in the MCU, and gets to be in five (maybe even six) Avenger movies, which is kinda sweet in a money-making sense.

Concerning LEGO, the costume needs serious work, but the mask looks fine. At least we have a more likely chance of getting Doctor Doom again. My hope is that Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Victor Von Doom, while Avengers 5 introduces a Tony Stark as Doctor Doom; that way, we can get plenty of Doom to come.

Speaking of Fantastic Four… my word, I couldn’t be more excited for this than I already was, but that teaser gave me so much hope. (I’m a big fan of the Apollo program and early NASA, and it looked so so right. Plus, that musical theme for the title card is an ear worm.) The Fantastic Car they showed flying over the stage would be a great $30ish playset, and I really hope we get an up-scaled figure of Galactus with all of the Fantastic Four.

Rumor time!

Another Hall of Armor is fine. $55 doesn’t sound terrible, and hopefully we get some cool Iron Man suits this time around.

I’ll just share my wishlist Hall of Armor I wrote down prior to us learning the identity of 76297. This will work as my prediction for this new one in 2025.

“76297: $60 - Iron Man: Hall of Armor and Armory [I thought it was funny]

“Minifigs: Tony Stark (shirt w/ reactor)…Iron Man Mk 42…Iron Man Mk 6 (undamaged), Iron Man Mk 21…” [I had more minifigs, but I took out as many as I’d rather not have.]

The news about the minifigs in the Airport Battle doesn’t provide much more revelation in my opinion; only that we probably won’t get all of the characters needed, which is… fine. I hope for Bucky, Falcon, Black Panther, and Vision. (I really wanted a new CA:CW Hawkeye and War Machine though.)

At least we know we’ll get a Giant-Man, although I fear it’ll be a redux of the construction figure. The quinjet is essential, yes, but hopefully it doesn’t take up too much of the build. After all, we still need an airport in which they can fight, right?

The Monkey’s Paw hall of armor: only includes new versions of suits we’ve already gotten, but it introduces a new Tony Stark head.

I wouldn't mind an updated version of the Heartbreaker suit, or Iron Patriot for that matter. If based on Iron Man 3, MK42 is 100% in this set

The only new suits that would take my fancy are Python (black and gold, just like the Original Sin armour), Nightclub (black stealth armour) and Midas (all gold)

I'm done. I'm just done. This move reeks of fear and desperation to keep people they've been losing since Endgame. This was the worst possible move. I would honestly have preferred they just rolled ahead with a Kang recast.

Shave your mustache, Reed. Or just rip it off and give it to Ross.

A character not removing their face cover? in the MCU?

How good or bad, is Robert Downey Jr. as a voice actor?

Who knows, there might be a Tony Stark Dooooom, somewhere in the multiverse ;)

100% confident that isn't the actual suit or mask.

Sigh... another Endgame Final Battle and Hall of Armor? :hmpf:

The Infinity Saga sets really are becoming stale at this point. Fair enough they should have a place in the line each year but there's hardly any variety anymore with the same characters and scenes being recycled over and over while the number of sets we are getting makes it feel like they're eating up the majority of the Marvel theme.

Not getting too excited just yet. After the Jango Fett leak I'm leaning towards this one being a buildable mask rather than anything minifigure related.

While the upcoming Avengers movies sound absolutely horrible, I can't begin to say how excited I am for F4.

The concept trailer is awesome. This movie already has more sauce than nearly every single MCU entry. The subtitle is unnecessary, but I can't wait for the movie to release. Hope we get some awesome LEGO sets—buildable Galactus is a must.

The newly leaked sets sound like more boring Infinity Saga slop. I'm sorry, I'm just completely disinterested in getting more and more of the same movies with the same characters. Like, really? Another Hall of Armor? *sigh*

My Minfigure predictions for the Hall of Armor 2025 set (assuming it's Iron-Man 3 based since IGOR is in the set):

Iron-Man (Mark 42), Tony Stark, Aldrich Killian, and a New Iron-Man Armor we've never gotten before.

I hope it's able to still connect to the 2019/2022 sets.

I do think they'd be able to get away with a Wolvie costume based on the movie so long as they don't advertise it as such.

If this comes out and is packaged for DP and Wolverine (it won't be) should we have @BrickBob Studpants, like, nibble on a corner of the packaging or something? Clearly it's not a Deadpool fig, so he wouldn't have to eat it, but I feel like if lego does anything for that film he's got to do something

I agree. If there’s any clear unmistakable reference to the movie in such a set, I’d have to do something :laugh_hard: Though I’ll cross that bridge if we ever get to it

With F4 coming next year we have to get sets right? Galactus would work perfectly as buildable figure and part of Baxter building and Fantasticar as 2 sets. The Thing has to be a new big fig mold considering how unique his rocky texture is. Also is it possible we’ll get 2 versions of Mr Fantastic and Human Torch, like 1 in team suits and 1 with their powers (Johnny on fire and Reed with stretchy arms)?

Mr Fantastic, The Thing, and Invisible Woman with the Fantasticar for $100.

Take it or leave it.

I don't think Ben really has to be a big fig - he isn't THAT big. He's a very large guy, but he's only about as big as is possible for a real person to be.

You're kind of right. Looking at the leaked trailer, he isn't much taller than a random guy sitting next to him—just broader. Same with the concept poster.

Saying that, I think with how hard LEGO has been pushing Marvel bigfigs this year, I'm pretty sure he's still gonna be one.

Well in the comics The Thing is usually about the same size as Hulk. So he has to be bigfig. How can he possibly be done as a minifig? Avatar long arms/ legs won’t work here. Not to mention Thing was already a bigfig in 2013 Lego Marvel Superheroes game and looked great.

The problem is it’s difficult to judge whether or not Thing will be a bigfig because Lego isn’t consistent with who they choose to make big figs versus regular minifigures. Thanos, Hulk, Lizard, and Korg are all around the same size. But two of them are big figs and two of them are regular minifigures.

Maybe Lego should invest in making more figures at around Hagrid’s size. The Thing, Kingpin, Venom, Parasite, Bane, Kilowog, Atrocitus and Arkillo could really be done justice at that size.

In most comics Hulk isn't that big either though haha

I understand the appeal of bigfigs, but imo a middle ground like the Nexo Knights Axl figure, videogame Mr Incredible figure, or all the knockoffs/customs that go with that scale would be better.

Jin Custom did a fantastic Venom in that sort of size, and I think that's kinda perfect for these characters.

He probably will end up being a bigfig regardless, just because it's such an easy way to add play value, but I'd prefer a different style personally, bigfigs are usually WAY too big compared to the characters they're representing

I really miss mid-sized character moulds—Axl from Nexo Knights, Dogpound and Leatherhead from TMNT, or even the digital-only Mr. Incredible from the video game.

Feel like they would work extremely well for certain characters—The Thing being a perfect example.

True, and most of comics draw them both very inconsistently when it comes to size. Leaked footage from SDCC showed Thing on a dating show but he was in the darkness. His silhouette looks way bigger than normal guys sitting next to him. So if I had to guess he'd be a bigfig. Sure he could be done as in-between size character but I doubt Lego will bother.
