The August wave is tough for me to justify (though I'm tempted to get the new Hulk and a second leviathan after the Tower set.) Unfortunately I have no interest in it. The original Airport Battle still holds up and I can't really see this new set doing much to improve upon it. The minifigures don't really excite me either as I already own multiples of each character and the differences between the new and old are going to be minimal at best. The only exceptions would be a non-phasing Vision or a regular sized Ant-Man with an updated helmet but neither of those are worth dropping $100 on a full set for.

Honestly not opposed to getting one in the black base diorama style. Civil War is one of my favorite MCU movies, so getting a diorama style representation of that would be fun for me.

Agreed. While it sucks they don’t seem to be interested in revisiting Infinity Saga movies that could actually result in new characters finally getting the minifig treatment, CA:CW is an excellent choice  A black-base set of the airport battle could be really neat!

Hmmmmm, sounds like a bad idea to me xD

Maybe they should make a Mask and 2 Arms sold separately, wouldn't be a good idea for it to be all in one set for 300 euro

But hey I'm sure a Bust for 300 should fly off the shelves and never be on clearance.

I'm a sucker for these black-base sets, though I think I'll wait for a discount on the AoU one- I don't think it's too overpriced, it's just not a day-one for me. CA:CW is definitely a great choice for this line.

I was never on the hook  Even BrickHeadz are highly doubtful. They’d still be promoting an R-rated movie with pictures of the movie characters on the side of the box.

That said, Wolverine and Deadpool BrickHeadz are definitely feasible, just not ones based on the movie versions  A way more likely option would be a multipack with Wolverine and other mutants based on X-Men 97!

I hope Spider-Man is in that airport set. I saw someone mention that they could see Lego releasing an expansion set later to fill out the roster of characters in that scene, which I hope isn't the case for Spider-Man. I'd love for him to be included in the airport one.

I mean, a monkey’s paw situation with highly desirable characters / variants indeed being produced by Lego, just not in minifigure form isn’t a new phenomenon with this theme, for example with the recent Iron Spider Brickheadz and Green Goblin buildable figure.

Has anyone tried to make the Avengers Tower (D2C) bigger? As in buying 2 and making a XL version (wider/higher)? 

I know a few people like BevinBricks made their own tower, but those are all MOCs.

So since DC is getting at most 4 sets in January, I guess we will be getting 7 LEGO Marvel sets in January

7 is still a decent number of sets. I'm not too worried there. The main thing I want to see is some variety in which superheroes they are based on.

I do wonder if the Marvel logo is included here or if it has its own separate numbering system like the Art sets do.

Me too. I agree that there should be a variety on which superheroes the Marvel sets are based on. 
 

I also feel like the Marvel logo is part of Art, since Star Wars just had the set names revealed and the Star Wars Logo set wasn’t part of the lineup. 
 

Anyways, We know we’re getting a Civil War set and (most likely based on tradition) two mechs, so that leaves 4 more unknown sets for January.

 

I would love those 4 to be a Sentinel set similar to the Surtur Set, a Miles Morales mask and like, maybe 2 more Infinity Saga sets (I’m really hoping for the Setinel set and Miles Mask 🤞🏻🙏🏻)
