I decided to modify the Blackbird (mainly wanted it to seat more X-Men, now it fits 9). Basic rundown: I gutted the inside, changed the design of the hull’s walls, made the hull longer, and widened the wings. Here’s some images if anyone is interested.

That looks great. A lot more like the cartoon I remember watching.

These are now on sale by 20% in the UK.

Does anyone know how much marvel sets get discounted if sales are tanking? Really like the set by it still seems too much at 80%.

This is awesome, I might have to do some similar things to mine.

Amazing! Love the X-tra minifigs you put in there.

Looks pretty good, really feel that's the size/scale/figure count the set should have been to justify the pricing it ended up being.

Through the official Lego site, 40% is the highest I've seen a Marvel set drop and that was for the 76215: Black Panther Bust. I don't think the X-Jet is worth more than £34.99, at most, and thats if you are heavily invested in the figures.

Ooh, great job! I like your added minifigs too :sweet:
My only gripe with the X-Jet is that the cockpit window doesn't match the one from the animated series, so that's the only change I'd make myself, if I had any idea where to start :innocent:

Mitch

This piece would probably be the way to go, but I also have no idea how to work it in there. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=62360&idColor=19#T=S&C=17&O={"color":17,"iconly":0} I also kinda like the windshield as it is, accuracy to the source material aside.

Just popping in to say that I've finally seen "The Marvels" - and I really liked it, way more than I thought I would! I mean it's certainly not the greatest movie ever, but it's equally certainly better than, say, "Eternals" (which I didn't think was that bad either, just way too slow-moving, giving everyone ample time to ponder the amount of plot holes in its script) or the awful disaster that was "Quantumania". I think the box office figures have more to do with the lack of promo (due to the strike) and the public's general fatigue with the MCU than with the film's quality.

Also, the movie comes after "Secret Invasion" but ignores - and in many cases outright contradicts - all of it. Possibly this is due to timing (seeing as "The Marvels" has been delayed repeatedly, and at the same time the production process of "Secret Invasion" seems to have been a hot mess). But if Marvel wants us to watch all their Disney+ shows in order to understand the movies, that's bad enough; if the movies then contradict the shows, the resulting mess is not really doing anyone any favours.

So yeah, to me it still feels as if the MCU is going downward fast. I'm just sad that it's taking Captain Marvel down with it, as I love Brie Larson's take on the character.

And the scene underscored by the song "Memory" was just genius. ;-)

LEGO-wise, though, they could have done so much more instead of just "Here's Carol's ship. our three heroines, and some Flerkins". What about Dar-Benn? What about a Skrull or two? What about a Kree ship, even? Even with only one set per movie, it would have been easy to make something that people would want for itself (regardless how they feel about the movie).

You said you don't like Deadpool yet you liked The Marvels, poor taste IMO

I've listed some that were 'clearly inspired' along with the full list of suits we've had as I doubt Lego would revisit those suits that they've already released a reasonable likeness to:

It seems there is a 'list' of Iron Man minifigs that do not seem to correspond with any of the suits from the lore? The minifig from 76263 (4+ set), for example.

Never! If a sacrifice has to be made so be it, I really want a set from my most favorite upcoming movie with my favorite Marvel characters.

Deadpool 3 trailer dropped, hope we get something based off it.

Unfortunately the trailer confirms that hard R, what with the language and the joke when the TVA corner him (I thought he said "begging" on first viewing, but while that isn't as vulgar there's no way disney would let him put something about their current quality/financials in the movie), so @BrickBob Studpants is almost certainly safe, falconfan's comments aside.

Oh yes, the film will get as many sets as The Secrets of Dumbledore, The Flash, Aquaman 2, and Dial of Destiny combined!

No need for the passive aggressiveness my friend but I understand, still The Marvels is a horrible movie only made to pander to certain people.

Ever heard about the difference between opinion and fact? Also, it‘s not exactly polite to outright say that someone has poor taste.

Bro said someone has poor taste and dismissed their opinion, and now he's getting mad that the other person responded with a sarcastic comment. :jollyroger:

Ironic.

Not mad, just stating the facts that it's a horrible movie, anyway let's just move on because I'm not going to lose my sanity arguing on a forum about Lego.

Your opinion is not a fact. Hard to grasp the distinction, I know

Saying "facts" like you can objectively state that a movie is bad.

There's no objectivity in art (and don't give me the "blockbusters aren't art" gibberish).

Couldn't care less about this movie, from what I've heard it sounds like another generic MCU movie, but you gatekeeping people from having an opinion is rather weird.

If you asked most people if The Marvels was a good movie, they wouldn't agree, I'm not gatekeeping anyone.

It's normal to not like an unpopular opinion, If I said Lepin is way better than Lego, I'm sure you wouldn't accept my opinion.

Anyway let's move on (I don't want a headache)
