Where have you guys found this image? The usual lego leaks hashtag doesn’t seem to work like it used to

Try the r/legoleak subreddit. It's up on there.

Personally... I'm not sold on Jean just yet. To me, this feels like the bare minimum for a Jean minifig, and I'm worried about what that face print could look like up-close. It just feels like Lego is doing the bare minimum to provide a Jean, instead of providing a definitive, premium minifigure which will (very possibly) be tied to a single, very expensive set. Maybe I'll feel better when more images are out though, but I hope the other minifigs do more to blow me away.

I agree she looks very bland although I don’t know what more can be done with her. Hopefully her lack of printing can mean others like gambit will be more detailed

Not to simp for a multi-billion dollar corporation, but I really don’t see what else they could have done here. The hairpiece is accurate, not to mention a new color for that piece. Jean really doesn’t need leg printing, nor do I think it would add much. Her torso and head are both accurate. The only thing that is off is the color of her hands and her gauntlets are missing. But the hands are an easy swap and the gauntlets would either need to be dual-molded or printed on, neither of which would look great, and IMO she’s better off with plain arms.

Of course, it could also just be I’m a simp for simplistic minifigures (not you, Cyclops. Cover your legs).

I have mixed feelings here. There are still some characters from the live-action shows I‘d like to see in minifig form, but they‘re all from Loki :snicker:

I still think that Mobius, OB, and B-15 deserve some CMF slots

Meh. I loved "Loki", and I liked Mobius as a character a lot, but as minifigs these would be too boring for me. Maybe Renslayer in period dress, Miss Minute, Old Loki, Sylvie in her McDonalds uniform (if nothing else she'd be hugely popular with City MOCcers), and Loki from the final scene - but the rest just look too much like ordinary people to appeal to a casual collector, and I doubt they'd have anything very exciting in the way of accessories either. (Unless you count Croki. 😉)

I'm also usually fine with simple printing on minifigs (I think Daredevil and Punisher look great) - something just feels off to me about Jean. Maybe it's the oversized shoulder pads? The blank expression on the face? The reused (though probably accurate) hairpiece that's been in use for a decade? Poor effort on the arms? I'm still going to wait until we see more before I take a firm stand - I'm just not blown away right now. It looks like a purist custom with a new torso in some ways to me now.

I think printed shoulder pads (like CMF Wolverine) + dual molded arms would've been the way to go for this, but I get it's a cost saving measure.

The hair recolour is pretty great in reddish orange, and the torso and head both look good to me - definitely don't think she needed leg print, as nice as it would've been. One of the few characters in this set I think can get away with not having it entirely.

I do think it's a matter of if we'd rather the detail here, or on another figure who probably needs it more, to be honest.

I'll wait for clearer images to make a real judgement on the actual prints themselves, but so far she looks good!

I think she might look better once we see official pics. I'm more worried about the printing of her light-colored face on the dark blue head.

I'm not a fan of the 90s costume anyway for Jean so I think some of my feelings towards her minifig being somewhat unsatisfactory or unfinished stem from just not liking her costume in general. I think they should have at least printed her blue gauntlets on her arms and given her flesh colored hands.

The issue with the ponytail is that it's not quite accurate to the show. In the show, her hair is only visible from the top of her mask. Her actual ponytail comes out of a small hole in the back. Obviously that wouldn't really function as a lego part so they have to use the generic ponytail. As someone who isn't a fan of the ponytail, I think this minifig will also look better with an open hair piece instead.

Lego did have a separate ponytail piece for the Lego Batman Movie version of Batgirl. It attached onto the mask but I think a similar mask for Jean would be too thick.

That does look good. You're right that a similar mask would be too thick on Jean's face since it shouldn't protrude out so much like Wolverine's mask. This is closer to her Marvel Girl mask.

Man Jean looking really basic. Coping hard that she'll be in the next CMF.

We need a dedicated X-Men CMF, I don't care for any of the filler characters like Kate, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Echo, Mr. Knight, etc. Last CMF had too much filler.

An X-Men CMF would be fantastic. But I gotta disagree on Jean needing to be in there. Well, at least this version of her (you’re not wrong about the minifigure being basic, but that’s on her design not on Lego). Now, an updated Phoenix or Dark Phoenix minifgure, on the other hand… that would be great.

Completely agree with this comment.  The reason the LEGO minifigure design is so simple is because her X-Men '97 character design is so simple. These aren't complicated MCU costumes they are translating into LEGO; they are cartoons.  I think this is a great Jean Grey minifgure and I would absolutely prefer the budget to go to those characters with more complicated designs.

I agree 100% with this. Gambit needs dual molded legs with printing. Cyclops needs dual molded legs with printing. Rogue needs dual molded legs with printing and a new hairpiece. There’s no reason to waste the budget on leg printing for a character who has plain legs in the show when there’s other characters who need that level of detail.

3 of these minifigs are the titular characters of their respective shows and the other 2 the second-most important characters, so they can hardly be considered as „filler“  I assume you don’t like these shows, but that doesn‘t mean they‘re not worthy of a CMF series.

I’d say Goliath is the only actual filler in that series

If someone doesn't care for the MCU or especially its Disney+ shows, then these characters would be considered filler. There's a reason most comments on the CMF series 2 were basically about only purchasing the X-Men characters and maybe Moon Knight while ignoring all the rest. I only bought the X-Men characters myself.

I'm worried about the Bishop minifigure. I wouldn't be shocked if they give him plain blue legs and don't bother printing the yellow stripe down one of his legs. He should technically have dual molded legs too but Lego seems so averse to that when it comes to Marvel.

Maybe we could all appreciate every character for what they are instead of calling characters we personally don’t care about filler minifigures?

I didn’t watch Moon Knight, but I appreciate the coolness of that character. I’ll probably never watch She-Hulk, but I’m glad to have that character in my collection. I’ve never seen a single X-Men movie, (jaw-dropping, I know) but I’m excited for the upcoming X-Mansion. Even characters like Echo and Goliath, two characters about which I couldn’t care less, I believe are the best minifigures of that series, and I appreciate using those characters in battles throughout my LEGO City.

I'd definitely prefer a X-Men CMF over another Marvel Studios one. It would more than make up for the lack of any new X-Men sets coming out next year.

If Lego could not release an X-Men-only CMF, then they could perhaps increase the X-Men slots in the next Marvel CMF!

We don't know the entire set list for LEGO Marvel 2025 though. For all we know we could get 2 X-Men sets next summer (unlikely but still)

I think it's likely we could get a X-Men Advent Calendar and a Sentinel set (similar to the one in the blurry X-Mansion images) with 3-4 minifigures next year tbh.

BUT I would like an X-Men CMF. IDK how likely it is tbh though,

Is a X-Men Advent Calendar really all that exciting though? If its anything like the past three we've gotten from Marvel its likely going to feature recycled minifigures and Christmas sweaters. What we really need at the moment is more new characters. The X-Mansion is a step in the right direction but there's still a LOT of ground left to cover between fleshing out the team and expanding the roster of villains.

And if someone doesn‘t care about X-Men 97, they might consider these characters to be filler  Objectively speaking, the Marvel CMF series feature characters from the D+ shows, both live-action and animated. Important characters from these shows are equally deserving of minifig representation. And it‘s not like She-Hulk and Moon Knight were unknown before their shows, they‘re classic Marvel characters and worthy of CMF slots on these grounds alone!
