LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

In a German forum they posted the sales data for the Lego magazines and while the LSW magazine was on top of the charts in the first quarter of 2024, the LSW magazine sales data for the second quarter was not reported at all. This might indicate a sharp drop of sales. All other Lego Magazines massively droped in sales too. Looks like all the price increases we had recently are taking their toll.

So far I bought only one issue of the LSW magazine this year, the one with Palpatine. A sharp drop when i compare it with previous years where I used the magazines to build a collection of minifigures (to put into mocs).

I mean I bought the shock trooper one but most of the other figures where ones I already had but for kids the magazines are great.

the price rise isn’t the greatest, like for afol the 501st specialist it was cheaper to buy him off eBay or buy the bp rather than him in the magazine. I’ll probably get the TIE pilot I don’t have many of those.

I wonder what else is to come for the rest of the year?

Skeleton Crew has a display set up at D23. I don't expect to see anymore sets based on this show but it would still be nice to get that peg leg droid and the wolf man pirate. Hopefully we get a trailer later today.

Plus the whole scene with the Tac-Pod. Seems to be a healthy amount of Andor stuff there! The only unfortunate thing is that they have only used the one already existing set, and that the Narkina 5 outfits seen on Yoda and Windu have been given the not-a-physical-product treatment with arm printing etc. that probably wouldn't be given to real figures in that outfit, so it doesn't really point to any actual sets happening soon. Though, like you said, at least they're still thinking about it.

The Mandalorian and Grogu movie has a new trailer floating around from D23. Still a year and a half away from release but I'm calling it now:

Spoiler

We're absolutely getting a remake of the Razor Crest with a new Zeb figure. No way Lego is going to pass up on that one.

Never been so unexcited for a Star Wars project in my life.

Anyway, I hope we get at least one Andor season 2 set next year. The preview looks incredible.

Spoiler

A JFO Scout Trooper, DIRECTOR KRENNIC!! and K2S0 appear to be in the leaked Andor S2 trailer. Peak’s back on the menu boys.

But before that we have RTG. And that’s shaping up to be peak as well.

Skeleton Crew I’m quite worried about to be honest. Especially after the reports of bad test scores.

There are three things I’d like to see from for that movie: The Live-action debut of the Victory-class star destroyer, a Lego ITT and a Lego New Republic Delphi Airbase.

Also we’re almost certainly going to be getting an AT AT vs a minifigure scale Mando’s AT RT at some point. If not I will cry.

The trailer looks... fine. Jon Watts working on a series in the Filoni and Favreau side of the universe does not fill me with much optimism.

Also, regular suburbs in Star Wars... absolutely no sauce. Looks so visually bland.

Saying that, I really like the idea of making a Star Wars project that focuses on kids—no idea why that took them so long. Jude Law is also gonna be a joy to see on screen.

I'd like to have faith, since the premise sounds awesome... but the crew behind it leaves me not even wanting to watch it. Except for some of the directors, but we know that this doesn't help if the core itself is bland.

I am not 100% sold on Skeleton Crew at this point; the suburbs looked too Earthlike for me (I know that Star Wars has always drawn from Earth, but we usually get a mix of styles to create something unique, rather than a 1:1 recreation), but hopefully things will get weirder once the kids get stranded. Also, that school feels dystopian as hell, and more like an Imperial Academy than something I would expect from the NR era!
I was not expecting the droid to be an ally to the kids, but considering the peg leg, he may betray them at some point; I am wondering if he is relatively new and just got trapped in the ship, or if he is actually from whenever the ship crashed, since his design is very similar to the KX-series.

Not much to say about Mando & Grogu yet (I did like the mouse droid POV shots), though LEGO had better finally give us Zeb!! Also, this would be an excellent time to remake the Snowtrooper helmet so that it can actually fit with a backpack.

So many things in Andor S2 for LEGO to make (new U-wing, Police Gunship, TIE Avenger, whatever that ship was that went to lightspeed at the end of the trailer) in addition to missing S1 content (Fondor, Partisan X-wing, Imperial speeder, etc). Obviously K2 and Krennic (along with the missing characters/troopers from S1) are a must, and there are a couple of interesting new Imperial uniforms (red uniform with what looks like the cut of an officer's jacket but the logo and cylinders of a pilot/technician, with or without a black armour vest; and the quasi-Scout Trooper with a cap).
I am wondering if the new Imperial control room will be another part of ISB headquarters (we see Dedra and Partagaz there), or if it will be an AWR facility (as they also wear white); the glass elevator shot (possibly of Krennic, though more likely someone in an overcoat) seemed like it was in some kind of factory. I also suspect that (heavy spoilers!!):

Spoiler

We will see the Ghorman Massacre. The planet with anti-Imperial protests was not Ferrix (different architecture, and we never saw flags like that on Ferrix), Ghorman was already name-dropped in S1, and the Ghorman Massacre was Mon Mothma's reason for leaving the Imperial Senate (per Rebels). We might even see Mon's escape from Coruscant, given the U-wing scene there - Maybe Cassian extracts her from Coruscant and gets her onto a transport, then she rendezvouses with the Ghost crew as we saw in Rebels. Cassian may even be on board one of the ships that arrives at the end of that episode, and he sees Mon's speech via hologram.
I also think that

Spoiler

Syril Karn will be killed in the Ghorman Massacre; it seems like he is on the planet with anti-Imperial protests, and he looks up worriedly when TIEs fly overhead. IMO, this would be the perfect resolution to his character, for him to spend the entire series simping for the Empire and Dedra Meero, only for the Empire to kill him unknowingly without a second thought (especially if Dedra ordered/was involved with the massacre)!

A JFO Scout Trooper

Not a Scout Trooper. The armour is similar, but the S2 Trooper has single shin plates (rather than boots and knee pads), no codpiece, plates hanging down over the hips, no pouches on the midsection, etc (in addition to a cap instead of a helmet).

Where did the Victory-class appear? I rewatched the trailer, and there were no ISDs at all.

To me the suburbs looked more like Star Trek, not Star Wars. The rest of the trailer looked good though

The Shistavanen wolfman pirate looks fantastic! Hope we get a nice minifig with a detailed head (but please more mature than the D&D creatures from the minifig series).

I was thinking Fantastic Four, given the retrofuturistic vibe of the upcoming movie.

Ah, my bad. I hope we get a Minifigure of that trooper and the Red officer.

Oh, I just meant that it’s something I’d like to see in the film. Sorry for the confusion.

I wonder if that Snowtrooper unit with the AT ATs in the M&G trailer is Pellaeon’s remnant group. Or perhaps the warlord on the shadow council who had the woolly fleece in Mando S3.

Probably not Pellaeon, since whoever it is will be defeated in the movie; I do think that we will get an appearance from him (and maybe even Thrawn) in the film, however, to set up the next Mandoverse arc.

A comment on Reddit suggested that the not-Scout trooper from the Andor S2 teaser could be CompForce; that would make sense, and the design is a good translation of their Legends appearance.

I loved this trailer. Lots of memes/in-jokes about the franchise, Jedi Bob sounds and acts exactly how he should,

RTG, Skeleton Crew, or Mando and Grogu?

Like yeah, skeleton crew seems more kid-focused, but it's not the first star wars project to do so (YJA, for instance, though my guess is tonally SK's gonna be more like early CW/Rebels/Resistance)

I think it's the latter. Pallaeon's remnant group has to be the one Thrawn merges with, I think we're gonna see Thrawn planning this out so that Mando and the NR pick off his opponents within the empire. Great to see snowtroopers again, too!

Yeesh, Rebuild the Galaxy looks good. Heck of a cast too, I can’t wait to see it and am honestly eyeing the Dark Falcon now, especially as it’s already fairly discounted at Costco (fellow U.K. fans, don’t sleep on those Costco Lego deals).

Like everyone else I am so excited for Andor S2, especially seeing that quite a few RO characters will be appearing which makes complete sense. Skeleton Crew looks pretty great too in my opinion, I understand the criticisms that the suburban planet looks a bit too familiar, but that very much seems intentional as an homage to the Amblin films as opposed to poor design work.

As for the Mando film, the footage looks interesting thus far but after how much Season 3 meandered around, there’s a lot of work they need to put in. Focusing on the Imperial Remnant is definitely a step in the right direction though.

I know it’s only August, but I can’t wait to get some more chunky information on what we can expect (for system sets) next year. Out of every licensed theme Star Wars is the only one where we know of literally only 2 system sets amidst a sea of buildables.

Hi guys, just a quick post.  I’ve done this in the Marvel forum but I’ve been away with work for a while so have missed quite a lot.  If someone could let me know what info we have on 2025 that’d be great and if we have any photos of the Sail Barge yet.

If someone wants to private DM me that’d be amazing.  Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel & DC are what I usually collect so any info on them would be fantastic.  Also if there’s any random D2C sets coming as someone told me Pirates of the Caribbean and Futurama were coming but I’d not heard that anywhere else, so please let me know if that is fake to.

If you'd like a general summary of all the info we have so far for multiple themes, there is that one site that I'm sure other people here know of that you might find useful, but I'm not sure it's okay to link to it or directly share the name due to the guidelines about sharing leaks on EB. Would anyone be able to give me the go-ahead for sharing it or link to it yourself if you're sure it's fine?

As for the sail barge, we have a picture of one of the smaller boxes inside the set's actual box, and also a picture of the new Salacious Crumb.

Unless this is a red it, I legitimately don't know what we're talking about.

I'll just type out what I remember here, reposted from the news thread, with additional info and sets added.

75401   290 pcs ($44.99) Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor - this allegedly comes with just Ahsoka, her astromech, and Anakin (horrifying, considering the price and piece count)

            75402   497 pcs ($69.99) ARC-170 Starfighter

75403   1048 pcs ($99.99) Buildable Grogu and Pram

            75404   450 pcs ($49.99) Midi Scale Acclamator (18+)

            75405   559 pcs ($69.99) Midi Scale Home One (18+)

            75410   92 pcs ($29.99) N-1 Starfighter (4+) - I don't think I've seen anything confirmed, but I'm personally super confident this is Mando's N-1.

There's also a buildable star wars logo, which we were told doesn't come with figures, but the marvel logo allegedly does have figures, so we'll see.

The dioramas are not dead, but we don't know if that means they'll show up this year- as you're about to see, these sublines can take gap years.

Some less certain rumors:

Bo-Katan helmet

Jango Fett will show up in some capacity. I think this could actually be the "Bo-Katan" helmet, but that's just me.

I was referring to The Mandalorian and Grogu. I don't even think I'll see it in theatres tbh. Really sad that this kind of slop marks the return of Star Wars to cinemas.

I don't care about Rebuild the Galaxy. Not gonna watch it. The sets are awesome tho.

As I've said about Skeleton Crew—I love the premise for this series, it's the execution that I think will suck. They have some interesting directors, but Watts, Filoni and Favreau is a formidable trio of awfulness. It's already looking bland.

Yeah I flicked to the back of the Vader issue in Sainsbury's (didn't buy one though because whilst Vader makes sense for sa celebration he's kinda boring, I have multiples already) and Sabine is in the next time in the UK (so I presume after that it'll be tie pilot here and Sabine in Germany? But honestly who knows)

I don't really understand this argument. I'd say a good 90% of fans would say that the mandalorian has been significantly better than some of the prequel and/or sequel films.

Okay, cool. I'm not one of them tho.

I hate this side of Star Wars. After Season 3 a lot more people start realising that—and to lesser extent after TBoBF and Season 2.

I'm sorry, I know you have the word "Mandalorian" in your nickname so you probably love it or at least like it, but I'm completely disinterested in this project.
